Been looking at Coronado Springs 30th April next year for 14 nights and price was quoting £3341 for flights, room, QS dining plan and car hire. Now a week later it’s quoting £4030??

Does it always do this? It hasn’t even been a week, I’ve cleared all my cookies and cache.

Are you sure it’s the same room type?

I’m assuming this is on the U.K. site? Thee are a lot of different room types listed, chances are the cheaper one you saw has sold out perhaps.

It's WAY too early to be booking anything that includes a flight. International flights between the US and Europe are generally most affordable 3 or 4 months in advance. I'd wager it's the price of the flight that's fluctuating, not anything on Disney's end.

The vast majority of U.K. packages are sold at least 9 months ahead, many a year or more. Granted 2019 is odd, because of the SW:GE jiggling going on.

The price can be varied for a few very specific reasons, but they wouldn’t change them at this point. The price quoted will be pretty much fixed, there could be a surcharge for fuel increases for example. If it’s too early to quote for flights they won’t do it, they’ll only give a price for the room and tickets.

To @LauraRose, I’m getting £3234 in a standard room, for 2 adults. Not sure if that helps at all, but just as a comparison.

Regardless, I think y'all are getting ripped off. I suspect you'd save hundreds of dollars by booking room and tickets through Disney and booking your flights directly with the airline.

That was my first guess as well. Coronado especially doesn't have nearly as many rooms with all the construction. For example, just picking some random days in April, there is $75 difference between the standard view featured room and the King room (under normal rooms and suites), and a difference of $85 if it is a preferred. Multiply that by 13 nights, factor in conversion, and you are looking at around £700 difference.

That’s just how it’s done over here. We’ve tried doing flight later and didn’t save much, everything is package deals. We always fly with virgin and they sell out quick.

Yeah maybe I’ll have to check again I didn’t even think of that.

Just realised I think I may have misled you there, that was under the deals but no flights. Oops!

OK here’s a link to what I came up with:

http://www.disneyholidays.co.uk/wal...y/?token=c4a58ae1-38cc-40f3-9b21-bfc4307e5b35

Ah won’t load because Disney websites do that ‘time out’ thing. I went on Disney’s website and they have rooms available maybe they’re is jusy a issue with travel city at the moment. Thank you for your help though! I’ll keep checking!

Coronado is a conference hotel. Could be a big conference confirmed a bunch of rooms. You'd likely see a steep increase in room rate in that scenario. But as others have mentioned it could be many things.

Disney does not do that, at least with their own systems and resort, at least I have never seen it in 14+ years as a Disney focused travel agent. Could a UK system do it? Maybe.

My guess is this is a variation in flight costs or room types chosen.

I made a mistake actually I was looking at port Orleans not Coronado springs which explains the price difference. Coronado just has no availability showing now, we’ve tried multiple dates. Might be a glitch on the website as it’s showing on Disney’s website.

I don't think my post came out right. Yes it could be that certain room types have been allocated to a large group. Not that they arbitrarily increased the price of a standard room.

I booked CSR for a May trip earlier this year. Got room rates just shy of $200. Checked a few weeks later and the LAF (for a higher room type) was $750. Out of curiosity I called and gave them my dates of stay and asked "Is there a conference going on during that time frame?" They responded that yes a nursing conference was booked recently (apparently into the lower tier rooms)

Disney property is not available in the GDS and the blocked space contracts they with have with the bed-banks can be reduced to sold at the discretion of Disney or according to the respective contracts (they have wiggle room with some, but not others) - if they wanted to try and free up additional room space in the lower tier category. They keep a tight reign from an inventory management perspective.

But I agree it could also be due to variance in airfare cost.

Sometimes yes on flights and hotels as we have done for our October trip, but not tickets...
Pretty much $20 per day per person full park hoppers if you buy a 14 day ticket as majority of us stay for that long. About the only reduction we do see though!

Yep. Sure does. Usually the airfare that ups the price. Snooze you lose.

Doesn’t explain the price difference. There are many facets to price difference. Date? Room type, resort, time of year, discount available etc...

I was looking at a completely different resort. I had open port Orleans not Coronado Springs which are always going to be different prices. Coronado Springs isn’t even showing availability anymore.
