President's Weekend?

Hello!
Is President's Weekend as crowded as some have reported?
We are looking at Feb 16-21, 2014 (Sunday-Friday), and some "crowd sites" say it is packed beyond enjoyment! There is also a Princess half-marathon toward the end of that week.
Thanks for any advice!
Good Digestion to All this week!

Yes, it is busy. Hotel rates change from value to peak on or around 2/14 and family vacations along with special events bring in the crowds.

Crowded past enjoyment seems a little much, but if you roll into the parks at noon you will not have a great time.

Thanks, Master Yoda!
We appreciate the advice - will now try to switch "stuff" to the following week!
After having been last month, crowds are NOT what we need!
I should have checked!!

It is busy, but not unenjoyable. We went last year - the Wed./Th. days before President's Day weekend were fairly busy (6/10+), and Fri. to Mon. the parks were very busy (8/10). They had a marching band competition that weekend and, to my surprise, my family and I actually got stuck during marching band parade in Frontierland. There was literally no room to move forward or back along the street (we were in front of the buildings). We still had a great time - but if you have an option for other dates, you might want to take it.

Thanks, Jazzinator - great info!
We were lucky, and able to push the resvs back to the following week 2/23-28. Most of the charts have that at a 3-5. MUCH better! Lost our BOG dinner, but will keep trying on that.
What was I thinkin' ?

I would agree with both answers above. We have been to WDW twice for President's Week and it can be crowded, but manageable. We like to start early and get a lot done before most people are even up. Like @Master Yoda said, if you wait to arrive until noon, you may have some issues. But even then, if you have your FP+ picked and some type of game plan, you should be fine. Whatever weekend you pick, have a great time. I love the smell of spring in Mid-February as you walk around WDW.

Thanks, coachwnh!
We are looking forward to it! Haven't been in February in a long time.
I also like to get an early start, but my wife is on a different time schedule!!
Less crowded is ALWAYS good!
Have a great holiday season, and
Ch-Ears!
