If you watch the video of this moment his children helped him decide. He was the VP at this point in time. Even world leaders visit the parks.

Was planning on going to Epcot tomorrow morning...ugh. Hope this doesn't effect any traffic south of the World Drive/Epcot Center Drive-536 interchange. With any luck they'll already be at the resort by the time I'm heading there or going in the back way by MK cast parking.

I was watching Anderson Cooper on CNN last night and one of the people he was interviewing about the Presidential campaign was right outside of the Contemporarary. I took me a second and then I tought, "Hey, isn't that space mountain in the background?". It was just a small view of the world, but still fun to see all the Disney buses driving around in the background.

If anybody cares, I'll be visiting the Contemporary July 15 for dinner at Chef Mickey's.

What, just because I'm not the President, this isn't important information?

This should help:
"With the exception of Lyndon Baines Johnson, every U.S. President since Harry S. Truman has visited a Disney resort property at some point in their lives.
  • Seven U.S. Presidents have held and attended events at WDW while in office:
  1. Richard Nixon – Disney’s Contemporary Resort (1973)
  2. Jimmy Carter – Magic Kingdom (1978)
  3. Ronald Reagan – Epcot (1983, 1985)
  4. George Herbert Walker Bush – Epcot (1990, 1991)
  5. Bill Clinton - Disney Institute (1996)
  6. George Walker Bush – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (2003) and Disney’s Contemporary Resort (2006)
  7. Barack Obama - Disney's Contemporary Resort (2012)
  • Four U.S. Presidents have been to a Walt Disney World park during their term in office:
  1. Jimmy Carter – Magic Kingdom (1978)
  2. Ronald Reagan - Epcot (1983, 1985)
  3. George Herbert Walker Bush – Epcot (1990, 1991)
  4. Barack Obama - Magic Kingdom (2012)"

My wife got a text from some friends who are there today, and they said all transportation was stopped at the moment. I'm not sure to what extent they meant that though. I know that they have their own vehicle, so it makes me wonder if they were temporarily stopped from going anywhere.

That wasn't for the President. Jimmy Thick made a quick trip to WDW today.
