Preserving EXIF data?

Okay, I've been looking for a good program that at least does basic edits on photos (eg. crop, rotation, color correction, and preferrably good file compression for web uploads) that will save the EXIF data in a digital photo. I have Adobe Photoshop 6.0, although as I understand it, that was the last version not to support EXIF data, and I don't believe my copy of ImageReady 3.0 does, either. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping that data attatched?

I believe that PS 6 does maintain EXIF info, but only if you do a save or save as. Export for Web will strip the EXIF info.

That's how I always do save it, though, and it's never kept it. :(
