Prepaying for reservations?

I have never personally made a reservation for the Royal Table but when I was going to today (online) it said I had to pre pay for it? I have left credit card information with other reservations but never had to pay for it on the spot? Is this correct here? Or is this because I am doing it online?

This is a prepaid reservation, unless you are using the dining plan. If you are using a dining plan you still need to give the credit card to hold it. I am pretty sure it is just the dining shows and CRT that are prepaid.

Cinderellas Royal Table is a prepaid dinner....one of very few on property. You would have to pre-pay even if you did it over the phone. If you are on the Dining plan you do not have to pre-pay but you will still need to secure it with a credit card in case of a no show.

Great thanks!! Just wasn't ready to fork over a few hundred dollars! Guess I have no choice if we want to eat here!! :animwink:

Here is some first hand information that I just got a few weeks ago. I also tried to make the ADR online and went to check out. It asked for my cc info however I was using the Disney Dining Plan and I didn't want to put that in and be charged. So while it was still in my cart so I wouldn't loose it - I called a Disney Dining CM. She explained that the online system is set up to require the cc info. It will also charge you she said. In order to acquire my ADR, at the right time, she told me to release the ADR from my cart and she grabbed it on her end when it came up and she made the ADR with no info. Just out of curiosity I asked her, " I understand the cc info is needed to hold ADR, but why the charge? What if I want to pay with cash?" She confirmed that they can put it in there system with just cc info and not charge so you may hold the ADR and also pay another way. But the online system doesn't allow that and it will charge you. She said that when they make the ADR on the phone, they only charge you if you skip your reservation.

I have never tried it out myself to know for sure, and I know that CM's can be mistaken, but this is what she just told me a few weeks ago. I hope the info helps!! :wave:
