HELP!!!

Ok so it has been a while since I have had an anual pass and quite frankly i miss it! The other half and i are looking at getting passes but im stumped I know the premium pass offers more with discounts on food and merchandise as well as admission into water parks, disney quest, etc. my question to the forum is... is the extra money worth it have you tried either of the passes? we are Florida residents and will get the discount.

If any one has any ideas let me know!! thanks!!!

"Worth" depends entirely on how often you buy merchandise or use the Water Parks or Disney Quest. Some people [] buy enough merch to save the difference without ever setting foot in the Water Parks or Quest... :D

I just get what I need, which is parks and water parks...the one without the blackout dates. I don't usually go much during blackout dates, but I am not paying to park!!

All my APs (and I have them all, lol) include parking.

I don't buy enough disney stuff to worry about 10% vs. 20% discount.

My fiance and I are Florida residents as well and we have the regular annual pass which includes park hopper admission to all 4 parks, free parking, no blackout dates, 365 days a year. benefits for ours include discounts on some of the following:

Epcot dining locations: Nine Dragons restaurant, Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia Restaurant, Restauarant Marrakesh, Tokyo Dining, and San Angel Inn Restauarnt (excludes New Years Day, Easter, and Mother's Day)

HS: 10% discount at Hollywood and Vine

AK: 10% discount on Yak and Yeti and Rainforest Cafe

DTD: 10% off of the following dining locations: Cap N Jacks, Planet Hollywood, T Rex Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, Fulton's, Ghirdelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, (20% off) at House of Blues BEFORE 4 pm, and 10% off after 4 pm. (15% off) of Paradiso 37

DTD: 20 % off both Fresh appeal and Wolfganga Puck Cafe

As far as merchandise goes, our passes include a 10% discount for most locations..I just ask when I go into each store that I buy something from.

Tours and expereinces: (15% off) (most tours) and 10-50% off of things like golfing, the richard petty expereince ect.

Periodic discounts for resorts..which also happen when your a FL resident as well ;)

You can see more of what I just explained in further detail at www.disneyworld.com/passholder

What the premium pass has that ours do not is basically admission into the 2 water parks and Disneyquest.

Hope this helps!

Our experience...my husband and I had our premium annual passes before getting married earlier this year, and we bought stuff for the wedding and our favors, at %20 off, then all the stuff we bought for our new house: %20 off, free parking for all our trips at $14 to particular parks nearly every other weekend, and all summer we enjoyed the water parks, then discounts at the restaurants. The money we spent on merchandise and dining, we would have spent regardless, so the money we saved with the pass made up the cost of the pass, making our actual park admissions and parking totally free... It was so very worth it to us. Hope this gives you something to consider. Whichever you decide, enjoy!

We have premium ap's but it's worth our while as we love visiting the water parks so make a saving by buying it. We live in England and visit annualy. What we do is buy our ap's in say October when we arrive and have our three weeks in Orlando. The followig year we go in September so we have another three weeks of use of them before they expire. During those six weeks in that 12 month period we must do the water parks at least 7-8 times, so for us it's a no brainer. We always pop in Disney Quest once per trip but only because it's 'free' and only usually stay an hour or so. These are the things you need to weigh up to help make your decision.

We usually get the regular AP. While we do love the water parks, we do not go to Disney Quest. So we buy the Annual Pass to the water parks separately as they are only about $99, but the difference in price between regular & premium AP is more than that. We also don't do a ton of shopping so the difference between 10% for AP & 20% for Premium is not that big of a deal.

It is really up to you and what your needs are. I usually buy the regular because it includes parking and that can add up. My advice is the buy the least expensive pass and upgrade if you have the need. You can always upgrade but you can't get a refund if you don't use the extras.

We are FL residents as well and have the regular APs. We like the idea of free parking and we don't spend enough time at the water parks to justify the additional cost. We also figured that when friends/family visit its usually during the black-out days and if they wanted to visit the parks we wanted to be able to go with them too.
