Lots of water and breaks! May will be kinda rough with the heat so you may have some swelling. Prop your feet up when you can. I am 7 months now and it was 80 here in NC yesterday and my feet looked like swollen ticks! Be careful. And whatever people tell you, always pay attention to the warning signs at each attraction. If it says that expectant mothers can't ride, then don't. It's not worth it!

Congrats and hope you are feeling ok! Any morning sickness?

Hope you have a wonderful trip!!!

Also~check out the forums on Disney with kids. They have some good ideas there too!:D

I went to WDW in May 2009 @ 5 months pregnant with my DH and oldest DD (who was a little over 3 y.o.) and here's what worked for me:

-I second "figment:" chug o' lug the bottles of water! As a consequence of this, know where the bathrooms are located! I really liked the bathrooms at the Child Care Centers (except at DHS)...don't be afraid to go in there and just "cool off!"

-Take your time: by mid-afternoon I had to take "bench breaks," preferably in the shade because the heat and sun could be quite intense. At EP, I sat in Innoventions West for almost an hour, while my DH and DD did activities. Have "the talk" now with your DH and child about the pace you'll most likely be taking.

-I second "Mrs. Jobson's" comment: heed the warning signs at the rides...if it says, "Expectant Mothers" or "people with back problems, heart conditions," it's best to avoid that ride. For example, at AK, Kilamanjaro Safari: I skipped it while my DH and DD rode it because I felt that the bounciness of the vehicle would be too much for me. As I was sitting near the exit of the ride waiting for them, I see another pregnant woman (probably around the same months as me), being escorted by a CM under her right arm and her DH on the left...she had just rode the Safari and felt very faint and uncomfortable...First Aid came and gave her an ice pack for the back of her neck and a bottle of water to drink ...she sat there for quite some time and I overheard the CM say to her, "This is why we post warnings at the beginning of every attraction."

-Soak your tootsies: by the end of the day (I would wear sneakers for the majority of the day, and then switch to flip-flops by the evening), my feet and ankles were quite swollen from all the walking and water retention (dear lord, the retention did me in), so I would soak my feet in a cold bath back at the resort. After a good soaking (10-20 min.), I would prop my feet up in bed and relax for an additional 20 min., as though I was nursing an injury ;)

Congrats and enjoy your vacation!!!

- Drink lots of water
- Relax frequently
- Try and stay cool
- Definitely do not ride major thrill rides (Especially Tower of Terror, Rock N Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, Dinosaur, Everest)
- Don't stress

That's about it. Congratulations :)

First congrats (and Killnme is a great baby name)!
Drink plenty of fluids
Wear light clothes
You even might want to look into renting a wheelchair a day or two if you are getting tired.

Congrats! Want my advice? Have the hubby spring for a spa day or two for you at a couple of the resorts while he and the kid ride all of the rides you won't be able to. In the evenings or on another day do all the stuff you can experience together. That was always our game plan whenever the Mrs. was with Mouseketeer.

Congratulations!!

I went to Disney in mid-May when I was 4 months pregnant in 2011. It was a different trip than I was used to, but lots of fun! I suffered from morning sickness throughout most of my pregnancy, but it wasn't too bad when I was there. I just avoided rides that might make me feel sick, and rides that had any pregnancy warnings on them. I took lots of breaks because I would get tired. I also bought a Brita water bottle so that I could fill it up at fountains in the parks. It helped me remember to drink lots of water, and it comes with a little filter in it. I'd definitely recommend doing that!

It was 97 degrees when we were there, so I tried to alternate outdoor & indoor attractions so I wasn't out in the heat without breaks. This worked out well too. We also would go in early, and takes breaks mid-day, to avoid the hottest part of the day.

If you visit Animal Kingdom, ask a photopass photographer to take your picture holding baby Simba. This is one of my favorite pictures from when I was pregnant. =-)

Have a great time!!

I will be there at the end of May too and about 22 weeks with our 5th. When we found out about Cinco we canceled our trip and decided to go to Naples for a beach trip with Grandparents. Then our kids got wind they campainged, made deals and begged until DH and I caved. We agreed to 1MK day and lunch in TRex and then on to Naples. I really didn't think DH and I could do 7park day with four kids under 8 while pregnant. However I think one day will be great with all of the tips fom above. If I see you we can belly bump;) congrats on your baby!

When we last went I was 3 months pregnant in the middle of June 2010. I had no problems getting around the park. I drank lots of water and tried to eat as much fruit as possible for the water content. The only semi weird thing was that I was craving soup so almost every meal I had a nice hot bowl of soup with it. This year we are again going in June and this time I will be 6 months pregnant. I'm expecting to be a little bit more uncomfortable and am totally disappointed that I will miss going on space mountain for the 3rd time in a row (1 time it was down for refurb and now 2 pregnancies...)

The wife, who is a nurse practitioner, says, "Hydration, rest and lower extemity elevation" are key. She says not to be afraid of demanding rest and recovery time and to remember your prenatal vitamins and watch the sugar intake. She further recommends frequent foot rubs, neck and shoulder massages and constant attention to your every need and whim, including but not limited to, SHOPPING when and where you desire.

Lots of water - thats general advice for everyone - and I would talk with your doctor as far as it comes to rides.

Holy Cow, it's Dave! Not just any Dave, it's PhotoDave219. As opposed to PhotoDaves No. 1-218. We cheer when he joins the General Discussion not just the Rumors Discussion.

What at WDW are you criticizing today PhotoDave219? Let me guess, the Yeti is still broken? Horizons is still dead and gone? The Adventurers' Club is still defunct? WDW's pricing is too expensive?

Just kidding dude, your posts are timely, informative, entertaining, and ALWAYS enjoyed and appreciated.

The Epcot Manifesto
Consider buying and making your husband wear a Camelback backpack like this. It's a great way to stay hydrated cheaply without having to buy a million bottles of water. We take one every single trip, and have done 2 trips when my wife was pregnant, and they work out great.

Comfy shoes are a must as well of course.

And of course, take lots of pictures so you can tell the little one all about the time they visited "in mommy's tummy". Also maybe make a special set of Ears for the baby, as a keepsake for yourself :)

I went at 34 weeks the beginning of May last year. I didn't have to change much other than what I rode. I paid for a preferred room at Pop on the first floor so we would be near the food court and parking lot and didn't have to climb stairs at the end of a long day. We went so we could get maternity photos at MK and Epcot and it was such a fun trip...I ate a lot (as always) relaxed as necessary, drank lots of water and basically expected the trip to be a little different than past trips...and it was great.

Of course, everyone is different so only you'll know how you feel and whether you can do it. I did verify with my doctor before I went, but mostly just because I was in the third trimester. I say...have fun and take lots of photos! They will be great to share!

CONGRATS!!!!:)

I've been there prego in AUGUST and with a four year old and it wasn't that bad. Drink lots of water and trust your body. If you need to rest, then rest. "Try out" every bench there. Enjoy a rocker, shop while the others ride the big rides, sit on all the shows and don't be afraid to rest in a first aid station where it is cool. You can still go on rides but not the obvious big ones like the 3 mountains, Everest, ToT, RnRR, Rapids and the Safari. The Safari is one of my favs but a bit too bumpy. Give your hubby and the teenager some alone time while you swim, or relax at the pool or go back early to sleep.

ENJOY!!!!:D
