Preferred rooms

Hey all! Sorry if this has been covered before. We are headed to the World next Saturday!:sohappy::sohappy:
We are staying at Pop Century for the first time. We booked a preferred room. Does anyone know which buildins these rooms are in? Thanks in advance!

the rooms are in the buildings that are 1,ooo yards from the main building (where you check in and the foot court is located). we were there 3 weeks ago and had a room in the 50's first building. it was not worth the extra $14 per night. you are paying for the proximaty, the rooms are no larger or better than the rest, save the money and ask for a standard room! p.s. my dad is from Winthrop ME!

All of the 60's buildings are preferred and some of the rooms in the 70's and 50's buildings are now preferred as well.

It's not worth the extra money, if you ask me - but the resort is great. Have fun!

We will be there on Sat. also at POP, in a preferred room -we were there last year in a preferred room and we were in the 60's building (right near the pool and classic hall!) I think it is better to go with the preferred room this way you know where you will be---you do not want to get a room all the way back in the 90's building ect...

we had a preferred room two years ago, and it was one facing the bowling pool. it was loud and a handicapped room, but it was close to the food court. not worthe it due to the noise. iwould prefer one one not near any pool and not close to the main food court or central location, but we went with no kids. get top floor for best quietness.

Only about 2/3 of the 60's buildings are Preferred.

And among all the Preferred rooms, 50% of them are in the 60's. The other 50% are split among the 50's (buildings 1 and 3) and the 70's (buildings 6 and 10).

This site has a map with the Preferred locations marked.

(It's about 1/3 of the way down the page)

As for the person asking about Sports, I'm not sure. I think they went with strictly just the Surf's Up buildings as Preferrred. I'll be there in less than 2 weeks in a non-Preferred room.

Basically, most of the 60s (if not all, last xmas they had us on the back side, 3 rooms from the lake end and they swore it was a preferred room), the ends of 50s and 70s that are the nearest to the main building. We only take the preferred rooms and specify that we want a room facing the hippy dippy pool. The have been able to accommodate us most of the time. The few times they didn't, we insisted that they bump us down to a non-preferred room. We like the noise of the pool and being close so that is the only selling point for us. Some prefer the outside buildings because it is quieter and some prefer the rooms facing the lake. Pop is our favorite resort, so i think you will like it.

We love POP. Unless you want to be right by the pool, I wouldnt pay for preferred room. even if you get in the 90's building you can cut across the parking lot to the food court and busses. None are that far a walk away. Top floor is the quietest. we love the 70's building. Hope you enjoy POP. Its really awesome! have a magical vacation. Love your avatar.........
