Pre-Order for suprise?

Hi Everyone!

We are going to be in WDW on Oct 11th. It is going to be my daughter's first Disney trip, and I was wondering if there was a way I could have one of those ornaments made up and have it waiting in our room for us when we arrive. I'd like to have it personalized, but I've never tried to order something in advance before. If anyone knows if it's possible, please let me know.

You can probably get the number of the Disney's Days of Christmas shop in the Downtown Marketplace and have them deliver it to the hotel for your check-in. (Sorry I could not find the number in a quick search).

Having it delivered to your room before you check in is probably not possible. I don't think they assign the room until you actually check in, unless you have requested a specific suite. But call your hotel and tell them what you want to do. They can be very accommodating and will probably help you to figure everything out and a magical way to present the ornament to your daughter.

If they really don't have your room picked out before you check in I have a small idea that may or may not work.

I don't know if you're staying in a deluxe resort and I don't know if they have bell hops. If they DO have bell hops, perhaps you can have the ornament already in your possession and can tip a bell hop to rush to your room with it and set it out with your bags. You can distract your daughter in the lobby while they're up in your room.

you can email either business and ask for a price of ornament, personalization and delivery.

If you are staying conceirge then you may have the gift waiting in your room upon arrival. If not, then it would be waiting for you at check in at which point you could request that a runner bring it to your room. The only exception is alcohol since that can only be delivered to the front desk.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to start by contacting the christmas store at downtown disney. Even if it is waiting for us at the hotel, we still can pick it up as soon as we get there. Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm more excited than I normally would be as it's my daughter's first trip to disney.

Just a note - the WDW Florist can set up an entire Christmas tree in your room for you, and they will have anything they deliver put in the room while you're out or prior to your arrival in the room (if it's pre assigned) or delivered while you're there (depending on when it gets delivered that particular day).

So, before you order, you might want to check with them.

Thank you mom2of2! I love the Mickey welcome baskets and they are full of things we will be getting our kids anyhow (mouse ears, autograph book, and the camera is a bonus they will love!)

This is our kids (6 and 3) first trip to WDW and we want it to be a special time for them.

Do you know how early you can call to book these? We are going the week after Thanksgiving.

which company would you be using? GOAL will accept orders/payment up to 3 days prior I believe. I'm not sure about DF though.

I loved to welcome basket that DF had. I didn't look at GOAL's site very long. Do they have a basket comparable to the DF Welcome basket?

I showed this to my DH and he just rolled his eyes and walked off - He thinks I'm over the top .
