Trip Report Practically Perfect in Every Way- Solo May '25

Hello! I have posted a TR on here before but have mostly been lurking for the last several years. I am a teacher and lost my Dad last August 2 days before the school year started. I booked this trip as something to look forward to when things were especially tough. I didn't visit Disney many times with my Dad, but he has been my number one to call on my solo trips and he always was eager to listen about all things when I got home. He was interested because I was interested. I share all that because I know that this community understands the magic of Disney and how it can help heal a broken heart , and I feel like a lot of healing happened on this trip!

When: May 25-29 (my 1st days of summer!)
Where: Old Key West ( on rented DVC points)

Wednesday evening- cont.-

A few pics on the way out of EPCOT.

I waited a LONG TIME for a bus back to Old Key West. I kept watching all these other resorts getting multiple busses and nothing for us! I think I waited about 25min.

Another good rest and I was back at it. I stopped by the store up front first for a new poncho because mine got shredded the night before. I told the cashier because I was buying this it wouldn't rain. Spoiler Alert- NO RAIN!!!

Made it to MK a little too early for me to eat dinner. I realized I hadn't seen the main mouse this trip, so I stopped by to say hello.
I felt bad for the Cast Members in there trying to keep the people off the velvet ropes. I could tell some didn't speak English but some were straight up ignoring her.

On the way over to Columbia Harbor House I mobile ordered, and it was ready as I walked up. I had a kids meal with chicken tenders, rice and green beans. Not sure why, but I love Disney green beans!

Upstairs is the superior place to eat. Dinner with a view of HM.

The line was short for the TTA and I took 2 (!) spins around.
Purple wall in my purple outfit!

Then I headed over to ride Pooh, since it was down when I had tried before. I had a LL so only waited a few minutes.

It was cloudy and the sky had weird color as I approached The Little Mermaid ride.

LOTS of stops this go around.

I used another LL for Peter Pan and then on to get a spot for fireworks. You may remember, I haven't seen ANY fireworks yet as it had stormed the last 2 nights.
