power outage

Yes. We were visiting about 2 weeks before Christmas (I forget the year). We were going to the late show of HDDR and were strolling around Fort Wilderness when ZAP -no lights. We looked across Bay Lake and the holiday lights on the CR were out as were most of the regular hotel lights (that is where we were staying). I would say the outage lasted about 15 minutes and we heard the next day it had affected the MK as well.

Did you ever receive a legitimate explanation as to how it's even remotely possible that Laugh Floor was the only attraction to have power in a complete blackout? I'm guessing it's on generator, but so are many other attractions.
They got their energy from thr laughs.

yes MK in June 2009 with my boys for our first WDW trip, it was our last park to visit on our visit to all the parks fortunately for us we arrived before rope drop and planned to stay till closing. Power went out mid day from a lightning strike and lost power for just over an hour. Most guests left for hotels or other parks so we just walked around looked in all the shops and enjoyed the quiet and scenery. Once power was restored we picked up where we left off and lines were much shorter which gave us the benefit to cover all the rides so we left early.

We did, years ago (sometime in the 90's). We were staying at POR and there was a huge storm. We didn't have power for a few hours so everyone ended up pulling chairs outside and just sitting around and talking. It was actually kind of fun.

Not on Disney Property I don't think, but, I was there in September one year and the power on the north side of Rte 192 was gone. I was fortunate that I was staying on the South side of the street. It was super hot, mid-September and the humidity was so high that you could practically see it in the air. I looked across the street and almost all the people staying in the hotels were out on the lawn trying to catch a breeze. It was awful. I couldn't stand to see it so I went back into my room and turned the air conditioning up and watched TV. Yea, I'm heartless like that.:D
