Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Disney have generators hidden all throughout Disneyworld for just such occasions?

It depends what the issue is. They have had a few previous issues along this section of the West Side before due to local panels in that area. So it would seem that even with backup supplies, it would still fail. I don't have any detailed info on this outage today though, so I can't be precise.

It must be the spirits of the I-4 Nomads, upset at the fact that no one has paid the tribute, for the use of the Ferdeber Peninsula, of two raccoon pelts and $2,000 to Chief Sun of Hanging Moon in over three years. This is why the Funmeister and Merriweather Pleasure's Island must rise again!

They seem to be having some general issues around the whole resort. There was an outage that affected all the parks and some other areas a week or two ago, and I believe one or two more between then and now that were more localized.

That is what I was about to say. The entire Walt Disney World resort has been having some power outage issues as of late. What is the deal? The whole resort had a power surge not too long ago. Disney's Hollywood Studios had an issue with it's gift shops not too long ago. Stitch's Great Escape went down a few weeks ago due to a brief power loss issue which also happened again today (4/18) around park opening. Downtown Disney had issues yesterday? Something strange is happening. Does it have anything to do with the New Fantasyland construction? Anyone else hear of other isolated and brief power outages across property over the past month or two?
