Being that I'm a senior at my high school and I'd like to make a few new friends, along with the fact that im skinny, light and easy to throw into the air to do stunts, I've decided to do powderpuff cheerleading. How many of you had something like this at your high school. To those of you that did, was it fun and worthwhile for you?

For those of you who haven't the slightest idea what what im talking about, Powderpuff is a yearly event in which roles are switched and junior and senior girls play a football game against eachother and the junior and senior boys cheerlead for them.

Sounds odd, yes. But then, some of the most fun times of our lives are very strange when looking back.

Ha. '07 is kinda hard to make a chant out of. Our girls made up something too elaborate to catch on. "OH SEEEVEEEN OH WHAAAAT OH SIXXXXX KISS KISS KISS THIS!" We simply reply with a resounding "OH-SIX OH-SIX OH-SIX"

We had it at my high school. I didn't participate, but I definately went and watched my Senior year. We called it Little Rose Bowl though and the game was played during Homecoming week in October. My class is responsible for getting it cancelled at my school (aren't we nice?). The year I was a Senior, the Junior girls beat us and a couple Senior girls started fighting with the Junior girls so Administration decided it would never happen again. The class that graduated the year after me tried to play at one of the local parks, but they got caught and got in trouble and the school hasn't brought it back. I graduated in 2002 so this was the 4th year without it.

When I went to an all-girls high school of course we didn't have the boys to cheer for us. But it was Jrs. Vs. Seniors and the Freshman rooted for the Seniors and the Sophomores rooted for the Jrs... If I'm not mistaken...

But yeah, it was fun.

I remember powderpuff. I didn't do it because the before my senior year, there was in incident with the cheerleaders, so the mean principal said we could have cheerleaders. Apparently they are allowed to have them now, because my sister did it this year and told me about it.

nikimsu2002-Your sig. has it all wrong. It should be Go State, Beat the Spartans!!!!

No, mine's correct! GO SPARTANS!!!!!!!!!!

Although I'd rahter see PSU win the Big Ten title (even if they have to share it with OSU cuz I'm sort of a Buckeye fan since my aunt and uncle went there) than Michigan.

We had freshman and juniors vs sophomores and seniors. I never played football. I was a cheerleader regularly so I just liked to watch the guys try to do our routines.
