In Canada it's properly made with Fries, White Cheddar Curds and brown gravy.

If you're asking specifically about Le Cellier, Their recipe is slightly "upscale" from that:

French Fries,Canadian Cheddar Curds, Truffle Salt, and Red Wine Reduction

I sometimes feel like the only Canadian who doesn't like Poutine.
Love fries. Love gravy. Love cheese. Put them together - not so much.
That being said, KFC makes hands-down the best poutine in the universe according to Hubby and Son #2.

KFC has some pretty good poutine! I live in Nova Scotia and we have a cheese farm close by, I buy cheese curds and make my own sometimes, and now it's 2:30am and I'm craving poutine!

I think the Canadian pavilion should have donairs (those from Atlantic Canada will know what this yummy greasy food is) ;)

Poutine is great. There is a restaurant in downtown St. Paul (Minnesota) that has a good version. We enjoy it sometimes before hockey games.

What is this?

Brown Gravy

Care to tell me what flavor "brown" is?

Yeah, I have a big ol package of Brown Gravy in the closet from Restaruant Depot, and I am not ashamed to admit it.

New Jersey Diners also serve a similar dish - DIsco Fries. Fries and Brown Gravy - but the cheese is random (I have seen American, Cheddar, and Mozzerella in my travels)

Generally beef, but in your country I'm not so sure...

. I was surprised they removed this!
The company, Beavertails, and Disney couldn't come to agreement on the contract so the company left. It's still doing well up here in Canada.

For me, poutine is all about the gravy recipe. Get a good gravy recipe, fries, and mozzarella and you have it. We have a shop in our area that makes the best I've had anywhere. You'd put his gravy on anything. It's the difference maker.

I love Canadian Poutine. What LeCellier serves isn't what I like to duplicate or at least be called Poutine.

I agree it's about the gravy, but much better with cheese curds, yum! We live in halifax and love beaver tails as a treat on the waterfront in the summer or on the ski hill :)
