Potential Ride System for Gringotts?

The coaster portion of the ride system in the video is much more extreme than Gringott's.

Yeahhh, I was gunna say, I remember this was to be described as a family coaster to be less intense than Forbidden Journey for kids and families who aren't able to ride FJ...that definitely doesn't look less intense than FJ haha.

Agreed, that video actually seems to show loops and inversions in the layout. Not something I would expect from a ride i've heard is supposed to be comparable to Big Thunder in thrills. Looks excellent but I would imagine that's not the final track layout being used in the actual ride. I didn't even know it was legal to have coasters with upside down segments without having over the shoulder restraints. Well I actually don't know whether there's a law at all, I just assumed it was required because I never see any modern looping/corkscrew coaster without shoulder restraints. This render shows vehicles with regular lap bars and yet seems to have parts with loops and corkscrews...

And beyond Gringotts for future rides, this would also be an excellent ride system for a potential Indiana Jones attraction based off the Temple of Doom minecart scene.

Personally I don't like the shoulder restraints, little to claustrophobic for me and on most rides not needed by the pure physics of the ride. Not a deal breaker but I'm all for minimum restraints. I won't going on mission space any more, two rides were enough for me, on that my shoulders are touching on both sides, shoulder restraint over that then my knees are almost touching the dash board and on top of that the screen is like 18 inches from my face. To much going on restraint wise for me and it didn't help that the first time I went on it there was some sort of delay before the ride started. The thought went through my mind that I can't get out of this thing and there is no panic button to hit, not even sure they can hear you scream. LOL. Pretty much a metal coffin for 4.

haha. It's funny you say that because I had the same reaction to M:S. The shoulder restraints and the moment the capsule shuts makes me really claustrophobic. Those thoughts went through my head too.

I couldn't imagine doing orange on top of all that.

I like shoulder restraints for rides that go upside down. Physics or not keeping you in the vehicle, they make me feel more secure if there are any loops or corkscrews. Lapbars are good for any other ride though. I always just assumed shoulder restraints were required or something for rides with inversions.

Not inversions in general, but barrel rolls specifically.
...at least, that was the case until about 3 years ago when companies like Gerstlauer figured out how to do that with a lapbar.

Keep Moving Forward
My first loop coaster was Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm and it had lap bars only. It would have been mid/late 80s I rode it for the first time. It only had one loop but you went through twice one of those forward then backwards rides.
