potc waterpark in old river country? link...

Ok. So im still stuck on this rc thing. I realy have to change gears here. Anyways here is a link to another board with some drawings and info on a new water park based on potc. Their logic seems on target but we all know how Disney works. Still would be great to see. The drawings look awsome. I like the idea of having a water park based on the movie, rather "movie-ing up" the ride with new AA's and whatever else they've got planned for it.

It wouldn`t happen at River Country. The whole reason RC shut down was due to its filtration system not being separate from Bay Lake. Maybe at that location, yes, but RC would be levelled first.

Couldn't they just put in a permanent wall to keep the 2 seperate?

Yeah, the concept looks cool... But does disney need 3 waterparks? Excuse my ignorance, but was RC really popular? (never got to go there) Personally, I love Blizzard Beach, but I never have enough time or money to go to BB, MK, EPCOT, AK, DS, TL, whew!

i can't say they actually 'need' another water park, but i would bet that three could hold their own.

I don't think that would be a good location for a PoTC water park, even if they didn't have the filtration system problems. River Country was in the middle of nowhere... being that it's not very accessible to those who aren't staying at Fort Wilderness. I had been going to Disney World since I was born, and I had only been to River Country once. Since Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach opened, I never even thought to go there.

You'd also figure that they'd want to do a park like this on the scale of a Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, in order to do it justice, and have it in a separate location, so the buses can run from all resorts directly to the water park. Now, I don't know a specific location for it, but I know that there is more than enough room in countless places on property.

That being said... I would LOVE to see this park built on property. I've showed many non-Disney people the concept art, and they all think that would be an amazing place to go. So, I hope this happens someday!
