POTC waterfall questions

I was at WDW last week and noticed that the waterfalls in the caverns of POTC (just as you leave the load station on the left) were not in operation. Have these been turned off recently or have they been off for awhile? They used to add quite a bit of atmosphere to the opening of the ride.

Not that I know exactly what happened, but It could have been for technial reasons, or something else, like water flow or something would have disturbed something else. What time of day were you there?

It may have been for technical reasons, last saturday when I was there the waterfall was running however, the previous friday that I was there, they weren't. So they haven't been off for a while.

I was there at the end of January and they were off then as well. On the brighter side you could hear the audio track much better with them off.

I was there in early February, and I don't remember the waterfalls being on then, either.

I haven't ridden it since late Jan and when I was on it they weren't working either. It's true about being able to hear everything else more clearly, but it would be nice to have that extra atmosphere....hopefully it's just a technical problem....unless George had something to do with it....haha

They aren't in the load area. It's after your boat leaves the loading area, goes foward and makes a right turn. They are on the left side of the boat after the right turn.
