Absolutley incredible trailer! :sohappy:This film looks fantastic. The SFX work that has been done for this film appears as if it will far surpass that of the original. Hopefully the story that will go along with such great visuals will be just as enticing.

This film has the potential to be the biggest film of the year, just as long as it is good. Look for a huge opening weekend, especially with the built-in fan base for the movie franchise.

Man, it'll take Superman Returns a miracle to make any money once POTC2 comes out. :lol: Seriously, I watched the new trailer for Superman, and it just flat out sucked compared to POTC2's trailer.

I heard ILM was working on the SFX for this one. Did they work on the original too?

I just thought I'd add here that I am so looking forward to this film. If the film's as good as the second trailor (which is phenomenal) then this could be in the top 10 of all time grosses, but otherwise it'll still kill Superman.

Yes, ILM did work on the first one as well. Its difficult to say from a few quick shots on a trailer, but it looks like they were given a bigger budget for SFX work this time around. Hopefully it will pay off.

No seriously, the image pops up briefly at the end. Pause it when it comes on, and it IS Jack and Elizabeth. You can tell, because jack is the only one wearing that bandana and dread locks. Well, they're not actually kissing in that one shot, but they are pretty close.
