Postcard PIN Offer - FYI

I thought I would share that I got what I think is a pretty good postcard PIN offer from Disney today. It is for 10/23 to 11/23 - get a value resort for $84/night. Or for 11/27 to 12/25 - get a value resort for $64/night. I'm not sure how this compares with FL resident rates for the comparable time period, but these seem like pretty good rates. What do folks in the "know" think? And does this mean that December won't be as crowded as we have been speculating? Or is Disney just shooting for 100% capacity all the time? Thanks!

I was able to stay at a value in November 2003 for just $49 Florida Res, so to me $84 is not very good for that same time period.

If so...it's demographically generated marketing and not available to everyone.

Is this a good deal...the pre-Thanksgiving one doesn't sound that great to me...I could be wrong but aren't rack rates about that or less?

As for the Thanksgiving - Christmas rate...I'm sure that's mainly to get more business for the 1st 3 weeks of December...I wouldn't think there's too much room left for Christmas week.

I hear you. But I think we all agree that those days are long gone until Disney hits a slow patch again. I also remember visiting Disney in January of 2002 and it was a ghost town. Will never happen again. But we can dream.... :animwink:

This was immediately post 9/11....a very bad time for the WDW parks and tourism in general.

Hi Christi and welcome to the boards!!! The mailing you got seems to be right in line with the Florida Discount rate, which is also $64.00 for the Value resorts during the Value time frame. Belle
