Well, we just flew in to Indy from Orlando a few hours ago. We were in Disney from 3/25-4/3, which included our one-day trip to Orlando. My post trip blues are starting to set in. I just thought I would share a few of our highlights and my different observations after visiting WDW (this is not a trip report).
1. We got to see the new Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show at MGM. It was awesome! I wish I was that skilled at driving a car! I also dragged my mom on the Rock 'n Roller Coaster and she actually liked it! Maybe I can turn her into a coaster nut like me. We bought the picture and it was hillarious!
2. We managed to get stuck on ToT when the elevator was moving forward in to the shaft. It was actually pretty interesting because we got to see that the floor was plexiglass and the "twilight zone" objects were simply clear plastic objects hanging from a string. We were stopped for about ten minutes before finishing the ride with the lights on. We got to ride again, and we got to go through the cast member area which was pretty cool. Needless to say, my mom and sister were pretty shaken up so the did not ride again, only my dad and I.
3. We finally got to ride Mission: Space and all I can say it that it was very cool and a very well done ride, but not my favorite. I am not a big fan of spinning and close spaces. We did not, however get to ride Soarin'. We hit Epcot on all the wrong days I guess!
We did get to see the new sign.
4. We went to the Animal Kingdom one day around 4 'o clock and there was nobody there. We rode Kilamanjaro Safari twice, and Dinosaur three times. We also got on the last showing of It's Tough To be a Bug. I also walked over to Asia and got a nice view of Expedition Everest. It looks awesome!
5. Also, on Wednesday the 30th, the Magic Kingdom hit capacity around 3:00. My family took the boat over from Wilderness Lodge around noon. The park was already packed. We walked around Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, seeing no wait under an hour. So my family just took the next boat back to the WL. When the wait is an hour for It's a Small World, you know you need to go home.
6. We also rode SGE, and all I can say is that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There are a few holes, but hey, I think they can fix it. I still would much prefer AE.
7. Last but not least, I finally got a Tomorrowland poster that I wanted so badly. We got it from the Art of Disney Store in Downtown Disney. It was very hard to find the attractions posters, we had looked through all of the stores at all four parks. It is kind of weird though, because they print it off right there in front of you. Anyways, it better be nice because it cost $48. My family also got a Tower of Terror Hummel thingy which was pretty cool. It had Mickey and the gang in the elevator.
PS-We also made a trip to Universal on Tuesday the 29th. Both parks are very good. Our favorite rides were: The Mummy, Shrek 4D, Spiderman, and The Hulk. It just amazes me though how different Universal is from Disney. It is so much more geared towards adults. Our first ride of the day was Twister and if any of you have ridden that, you would know that it is pretty intense. It is kind of like a slap in the face to come from Disney and then ride those hardcore rides. It also suprised me that they had beer vendors working the lines, and CityWalk was just a fiasco trying to get out of.
Oh my gosh, I didn't mean to right that much. I hope I didn't bore any of you, it kind of feels good to write about the trip, maybe I won't feel depressed anymore.
Thanks for reading.
