You can have anything shipped from the parks to the rest of the world at time of purchase you can pay for the shipping and everything.

I agree. There are no post offices anywhere that I've ever seen.

However, you CAN ship something for a flat fee at the register when you purchase the item. Just tell the Cast Member you want to ship the item to your granddaughter. They will take care of all the boxing up and shipping.

I'm not certain what it costs, but I remember it being fairly reasonable. I shipped that Cinderella castle home and it only cost $15 or $20. Smaller things are around $10.

To my knowledge there is not a real post office on the grounds but you can call and ask customer service.

They do allow you to receive packages at your resort so perhaps if you buy a flat fee box before you leave for Disney and carry with you you would be able to prepay for the shipping and just fill the box and send it out by giving it the front desk.

You can also have everything held at the front of the park and pay Disney's flat rate shipping all at once at the end of the trip.

I shipped a box home via UPS by using the business office at the conference center at the Contemporary Resort. They weighed it and calculated the amount of shipping, even taped the box more securely than I had. I paid same as local UPS store.

sorry for double post but here is a link to the usps information on flat rate shipping.

https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/st...viewAll=N&rn=CategoriesDisplay&WT.ac=10001232

You can pick up the box at a local post office typically for free or ask your mail man to bring you one on his next drop off day. The flat rate for the largest box is 13.00. You should be able to prepay for the shipping or you can use the business center at the resort to go online to usps.com and pay and print your shipping label there. Then you just drop the box off with the front desk to be shipped.

Mail boxes, yes. You'll find those all over the property. Like others, though, I've not seen a full service post office.

I believe the closest full-service post office is in Celebration.

While the Flat Rate boxes aren't always the cheapest shipping option, they may be your best option when you start to factor in the time, effort and expense required to get to the full-service post office to mail a non-Flat-Rate box at the cheaper prices, especially if you don't have a car.

It's easy enough to pre-purchase the postage from your home post office, pack the boxes flat in your luggage and then just ask the Front Desk to put it in with their mail pickup.

Oh, and the mail slots at the hotels are just for letters and postcards, not packages.

Thanks Rob.. I think I will nix anything Disney.. none of them have been so not as enthused about park stuff. I might just send a gift card to Disney to shop online...

I know that at least at the deluxes the concierge can ship boxes for you via UPS/FedEx. They should have a scale and tape, you just may need to scrounge up a box from the gift store or somewhere else. We shipped stuff home in that manner last trip, and since it is by weight, it should end up being much less than the method of shipping home from the register where you pay by cost of items. However, with the UPS/FedEx method if something happens to your items you need to deal with them vs Disney is you ship if home direct from the store.

Last year I had many items sent back to our resort over our vacation and a few were quite large. I brought them all down to the Jofari Treasure (gift shop) over @ AKLV and they gave me a price of like $25 to box and ship all of the things I had bought during my stay. It was quite a large box since we had a Monorail set and a Contemporary playset and many other items.

Apparently they mark and bag all of the items and then they are sent to a package and shipping location somwhere on property. Then they are wrap and boxed for shipping. When we finally got our package at home I was very surprised at how well they had wrapped and protected all of our stuff. I would definately do that again if I need to.

I do not see any reason why POP would not be able to do this for you. Try calling the resort directly and asking.
