Post count not going up?

I have a question that has been bugging me. After I post, sometimes my post count goes up, sometimes it doesn't. If you post in more that once in a thread, do all your posts only count as one (which would seem odd)? Just curious. Thanks for any info!

P.S. My primary concern is not just my post concert but still wondering.

For every single post in all forums excluding Chit Chat & Test, you will get one post count. For example... If I were to post 50 times in this thread, I would get 50 posts added to my post count.
