Post card and e-mail discounts

Does anyone know if they are still using pin codes sent through e-mails and post cards for resort room discounts? It seems like it has been awhile since any new ones have been issued.

I'll be happy to answer that..

Disney does still send out special PIN offers to repeat guest by both postcards and by e-mail.

When you read the offer carefully, you will see it is valid only for the family that the offer was sent to. These offers are not transferable. When you call with a pin number, the first thing the cast member does is validate the pin offer. If the guest on the phone is not from the same address the offer was sent to the system cannot search for availability of the discount offer and the original family may be removed from all future mailings.

Want to be on the mailing list for a PIN code? One way is to call Disney and price out a reservation at normal rate (don't ask for a discount). When the cast member asks you for your home address, family member names and especially e-mail address give it freely. You are now in the database. After about 6 months, you will randomly receive postcards and or e-mails at a rate of about 1 maybe 2 offers every other year.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Well, I've been in their database for many years now and I only got a post card one time (before they were pin activated). I'm an AP holder and I don't even get those emails. They even initiate to confirm my email address with me when I contact them. I've done everything necessary to ensure my email and address is active to no avail.

Do you often use the passholder discount offers? If your household frequently used another discount offer (passholder, AAA, FL resident) then you may be removed from the pool for PIN offers. This way the discount offers can be more fairly distributed.

If you are not getting Passholder e-mails, first check to ensure that Disney is not being filtered out by spam-blocking software. Then call 1-407-WDW-PASS and state you need check your address and e-mail address on your pass and ask to be transfered directly to passholder services. This should help you receive passholder exclusive e-mails and also receive the Mickey Monitor in your mail box each quarter.

Hope this help! :sohappy:

Ive used pin numbers that were mailed to friends before and had no problem and they still get the cards. We even have had two diffrent families with two seperate reservations wse the same pin code with any problem. And as we know from here everyone uses the 3 digit discount codes from everyone else.

Most discount offers allow you to book up to 3 rooms (on 1 reservation or on 3 separate reservations) traveling together during the same period.

Discount Marketing offers with a 3-letter code are general offers that apply to a specific marketing group (FL Residents, Annual Passholder, North American Residents, web based offers, etc.)

Direct Mail Offers that carry a PIN code (a 13 digit number) do state on the post card or e-mail that the offer is non-transferable and must be used only by the person who's name appears on the offer or by a member of the same household. Using a PIN offer that is not assigned to your household MAY jeopardize the ability to receive future offers.

I am just so happy to hear that discounts are being released. I was beginning to think that we would have to switch hotels to offsite.

My partner got a postcard with a PIN that I tried to use, and they told me that only the person whose name is on the card can use those discounts. No spouses or domestic partners.

I received one just the other day promoting the 50th party!

I get some via email and some come with the snail mail!

Discounts are nice, but have a 4 night minimum (I think).

No I still dont have the code. My wife works with the person who got the code. They don t realize how important it is to get these codes and call as soon as you can so they forgot to bring it to her yesterday but she did say it was for the Values for 99/nt. Then again the other day I was told it was for the mods? Go figure.
