i came across a song (probably from a ride) that i hadn't heard before. it was a song about colors and was sung by a character with what sounded like a German accent. i was thinking it might be part of the original Imagination! but i'm not too sure. has been a while since i've heard any music from that ride. any one have any ideas?

There were some songs sung about colors back when Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color was on TV. I think they were sung by Professor Ludwig Von Drake (who looked a lot like Scrooge). It could be something from that.

Was it, "Red yellow green red blue blue red purple green yellow orange red red?"

Or. . . "I've got those green with envy blues. . . I mean those red with anger blues. . . ?"

BOTH are from Ludwig Von Drake, as Tigger248 explained, from the first episode of the Wonderful World of Color. The first song I quoted, "The Spectrum Song," is also heard on the Classic Disney CD. The second song, "Green with Envy Blues," is available on the 3 CD-disc set "75 Years."

Paul Frees, also known for his roles as the Ghost Host and the Pillsbury Dough Boy - and not to mention the Burgermeister Meisterburger - provided his voice (originally). Von Drake is now voiced by Corey Burton on the House of Mouse. The Sherman Brothers (song writers of It's a Small World/Journey into Imagination/Winnie the Pooh/Poppins/etc) wrote most of his songs.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the names of the songs because it's been a while since I've heard either of them. I remember the "Green with Envy Blues" because it was on an old sing along songs back in the late 80's/early 90's that I had as a kid. Thinking about these songs brings back memories!

Did anyone else but me ever notice:
"The Spectrum Song" ends with Von Drake saying, "Whatever happened to old Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly Dilly Dilly... silly," followed by a final hit of the guitar and electric organ. However, for some reason the last organ hit isn't on the 75-year collection. Does anyone know why that last note was cut? I'm not so much interested in the answer so much as whether or not anyone out there knows. :p
