At D23 pixar announced a movie that is set “inside the human mind.” Due in the summer of 2014. it will be directed by Up genius Pete Docter and rumored to be written by Little Miss Sunshine scribe Michael Arndt Further speculation suggests the film will explore the concept of idea creation from an internal perspective.

could this be the answer in re opening WOL with this pixar movie overlay:shrug:

Actually if I were a betting man, I would thing that the "imagination" pavillion would be a more likely overlay. :lookaroun

i have not seen anything on this yet, but when i first herd of it i instantly thought of WoL and cranium command.

Looks like if that were the case, Buzzy could be facing a competitor on the horizon. That is, if he were to see what's happening.

But harumph. Too early to tell.

I love Pixar movies, but I really hate the thought of any more Pixar takeovers in the parks. Restore Epcot to its original glory, and stop insulting us!

BUT, this PIXAR film would be based off of an original Disney attraction, so it basically, it wouldn't be changed FROM a pixar movie, it would stay the same unless the characters become Pixar style. That's what I like! I believe if Disney does the film right, and make sure it doesn't end up like The Country Bears, this cartoon/film could be GREAT! Tho, I highly doubt that they're even mentioning the WoL pavilion. But I always thought it would be a very interesting movie, and with it's humourus status in the ride, it could be quite funny as well. Another good movie could be Body Wars, tho, I never ever EVER want to see a movie based on The Making of Me. :lookaroun

Disney is actually looking at the possibility of Pixar taking over this pavilion. However, the outcome of this project even happening is slim. Only because the film is years away and it all depends on how well the film does.

There are other ideas to remodel this pavilion to bring back Future to Future World. Disney just needs to settle on one.

Highly agreed. And the health and life pavilion pretty much tried its best to contribute to it during its prime. Now the best thing to do is wait, keep our eyes open, and see if there's any hope in getting the future spark back there.

Problem is that Disney doesn't likely view the former WOL space as broken. It serves their purposes well as an event space. Gut feeling is that it will stay that way, unfortunately.

I have to agree with you,Disney doesn't see the things that they leave rotting as broken or good enough to be replaced. I don't really think it will return and I also think in the future it will get bulldozed down and turned into something else. I wouldn't mind a new Horizons ride replacing it.

Give it up man.

Lets look at universal... twister? Jaws? Kong (well o.k. maybe kong!) Earthquake? Simpsons (yep, it is a classic). Jimmy Neutron? (I know its gone, thats my point) Transformers??? (Maybe, I don't know if we will remember it in 5 years).

Jaws isn't a classic now? I'm not going to waste my time arguing with a man who's lining up to be a hot lunch.

Looks like it's a controversial case of 'your mileage may vary' - the differing opinions discussing their say on what could possibly happen soon.
