Port Orleans Riverside

Hi,
We have an upcoming trip, 7/29-8/5 in Port Orleans Riverside, Garden View. I will be travelling with my daughter(2) and husband, and im pregnant so will be travelling pregnant. I have stayed many times in Riverside but always Alligator Bayou. Do you recommend Bayou or Mansion for Garden View?

I personally find the gardens at the Mansions to be beautiful and well maintained. A large chunk of the rooms at POR are designated as Garden View so it's 50/50 where you might get placed. Suggesting a location helps but isn't always a guarantee.

I was thinking of requesting mansions as well only b/c we have stayed so often in the bayous. I understand its not a guarantee but would be nice in mansions being pregnant with option of elevator instead of stairs ill be about 30 weeks and the stroller and child and stairs at night isn't always fun haha

It depends on what type of "garden view" you want to see - the look of the bayou or the manicured lawns of Magnolia Bend. I've enjoyed the garden view in both sections although some garden views are a stretch. Try Magnolia Bend since you've never stayed there before. I really liked staying in building 85 until I wanted to branch out and try the royal rooms and alligator bayou section. Magnolia 85 is close to the east depot and the bridge to old man island and the lobby. But my most recent stay, I requested building 34 close to the east depot and loved it so much more! It was just a couple minute walk to the first theme park bus stop and that more than made up for the distance to the lobby LOL.

I've never stayed in the mansions, but the one downside of the bayou is the walk from the room to the lobby. It is a little far, but becomes especially inconvenient when rushing to get your bags to Airline check in on the last morning of your stay.

Magnolia Bend. I'd call Disney Travel and let them know you'll be 30 weeks pregnant at the time of your trip so they can assign you one of the mansions closer to the lobby and food court. And also ask for a corner room - it's no different in size, but that extra window makes it appear so.
