Tell me all about this resort? Please... HELP!

I've stayed at PoP Century for the last fives times that I've been to Disney and I'm wanting to change it up a bit and try something new for me and my partner.

I've enjoyed PoP so much that I'm a little afraid to get outside of my box and try something diffrent and bump up to a moderate resort.

Help me to make a decision and try something different for our trip in Oct. Woohoo!

I definitely don't think you will be disappointed at Riverside. I've stayed there three times, and hope to go back at some point. The rooms are larger than those at the Value resorts, and the atmosphere and amenities are better, too. You won't regret it!

Though I sort of have the opposite problem with my trip this fall. I'll be going with three friends, two of which have stayed with me at Riverside. But to cut costs, we're staying at Pop Century. So I'm hoping that they'll be OK with the "downgrade". (I've stayed at All-Star Music and Sports before, so I'm well aware of the room amenities).

To help you convince yourself, here's a slideshow I made a while back:
(unfortunately, Google Video wasn't very kind in downgrading the quality of the video)

I also found a better video on YouTube:

They went out and got pics from lots of different sources online.

If you're interested in another Moderate, I did a photo tour of Coronado Springs. I'll be staying there next January with a friend, and he wanted to know what it was like, so I stopped in when I was in WDW last June and took a bunch of pics:

Stayed at POR in November 07...and LOVED it!!! The resort is veryyy spread out and big. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed in Building 24 in Alligator Bayou, it was far from the foodcourt, but we had a busstop right outside of our room basically, so it worked out well when coming back at night, not having to walk far. We had a quiet pool right by our room. POR has quite a few pools. Ol' Mans Island pool is really neat. I loved the rooms. We are used to value rooms...the rooms are bigger, they have a fridge, the beds are sooo comfortable, doublesinks in the vanity area, and a nice tub. I miss it there so much...this year we are trying to talk my parents into going with us, but we wanna try French Quarter, everything doesn't seem to be so spread out there. You will love this resort. POR and FQ do share busses, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Leaving the parks, the bus stops were really crowded for POR and FQ. You must take the boat to DTD, its so relaxing. About a 20 minute ride. We took it everytime we went. It was pretty nice to get away from the busses for once. We did use the foodcourt a few times, and it is very nice with great food. The walk from our room was a little far, I can't even tell you how many pictures I took, it is hard not to when your there. The atmosphere is like no other. There are also horse-drawn carriage rides, we didn't take one, but I wish I would have. I would definately stay there again. We had no problems at all.

We have stayed there several times and loved it. The only negative is that the buses sometimes get very full. Be sure to build in some time to see Bob Jackson. He plays the piano and sings in the main building and he is so much fun. I believe that he is there Wed-Sunday night from 8 until midnight. I am not 100% sure on his times. You will not be sorry if you stay there.

Breathtaking views, great mudslides, great rooms. You can't go wrong. Place is pretty big, but the walks are beautiful. Great pool, Rooms are larger than Pop, have 2 sinks, not 1 and have a fridge. Really a nice resort.
