Port Orleans Riverside - Current reviews are poor

Hello,

We are booked to stay at Port Orleans Riverside at the end of October. This will be our first stay at this resort, but not our first Disney world stay by far.

As I am reading through reviews on the resort, on this site and others, the more current the review, the poorer they are. old reviews seem fantastic, but newer ones, not as much.

Can anyone tell me if the quality of this resort has gone down recently? I'm concerned that we may want to switch if there is a chance that we will have a poor experience.

I stayed in PO:R over the 2011 Marathon weekend (January 7-11 2011) and had no problems.

In fact they were out in force painting all of the trim on the building I was in on the last day.

The resort seemed to be in good condition to me. Not worn or dated at all.

And I was there over the 2011 Princess Half Weekend (end of February).

This was our first stay at a Moderate...normally we stay at Deluxe resorts, and I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful and we had no issues with our room (in Oak Manor - Magnolia Bend) at all. It was clean and in good condition.

I wish we'd had more time to explore the grounds, there just seemed like a lot to do! We loved the boat to Downtown Disney. Good luck! :wave:
