Port Orleans French Quarter - suggest a room?

We're staying at the POFQ at the end of April. My sister has difficult walking and would need to be close to a bus stop. Can anyone recommend a particular set of rooms? Also, how can I even request a certain room? Any advice about room selection or things to do at PODQ would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We will be staying at POFQ in mid April and we requested a stay in Building 4 because it is right next to the bus stop and food court, we stayed in that building last time and it is really convienent. You can ask at check-in or, just call down and have them put a note on your reservation.

It is our favorite resort, so, enjoy your time. Its proximity to downtown disney is also a huge selling point for us as well, so be sure to take advantage.

Have fun

Not old, just vintage.
Since it is a small resort none of the buildings a very far away. Any room that face the inside of the resort (one that face the pool) would be a good choice. Any special requests can always be phoned into the resort it self (u can usually find the phone numbers of the resorts on the WDW site) prior to your arrival...the more notice u give them the more likely you are to get ur request filled. There is no guarantee unless you request a handicapped accessible room but its worth a shot. My mom has a lot of mobility issues and she always finds this resort the easiest to naviagate. The Downtown Disney boat launch is a definite plus...very nice ride and is a speedy way to get there. Food Court is nice too since it isnt gigantic and as frenzied as some of the larger ones (ex.- All Stars/Pop) You are a lot less likely to get mowed down at FQ.
