I recently saw a post about requesting rooms, Were is the best place to stay at the French Quarter, My son will be 17 months old by the time we get there.

If I do get a pool view how much noise is there, or is it better to have a view of the paths.

So please chime in on what bulding and room.
again thanks for your help.

oh I forgot I will be there from Oct14 oct 19th
Thanks

requesting a "Water" view means either the pool or the Sassagoula River. When I stayed there, it really wasnt too loud no matter where we were. This is the smallest of the Moderates and probably the most intimate. There is only one pool area, although I think you can use the pools in the sister resort PO Riverside (Check out Boatwright's there for breakfast!!) Also you may want to look into Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. During your stay it will be the 17th. The Food and Wine Festival starts on the 19th in EPCOT so depending on what time you are leaving...... Wehen I went, Mom and I stayed in Bldg #5 which was diagonally across the street from the food court and main bldg area. Very easy for Mom!! If you are going for a pool view secifically Id request that so as to land in bldg 2 or 5. Views of the Sassagoula might be nice too but will be further away from the main hub of the resort. Ask the cast member at check in to show you a map of the resort and from there kinda pick the area you'd like to be closest to. Above all have a great time!!!

I liked a our view of a quiet pool, and the paths...very peaceful, and close to a bus stop...a little walk from the main hub though.

Well I stayed at Port Orleans last August. And the things I can remember are:

1)TONS of Frogs all over the place! They were jumping around the door to the hotel room

2) The pools are really really nice.

3) The set-up is really pretty and it's lanscaped very well. THere are alot of walking paths.

4)1 bad thing for you may be the trasnportation. If you miss the bus, you'll have to wait a while, plus the bus makes ALOT of stops. It takes a while from when you first get in the bus, to get to you destination.

BUt even with those things, I would still stay there again. The food court is AWESOME!!! And so are the views of the river :)

I don't even remember which room or buildings we were in (except that they were smoking ones...), but the whole resort is just fabulous! It's very compact, yet somehow there's still quite a bit of privacy - and it's beautiful after dark!

We've stayed at PO many times, and we've had pool views, water views, and parking lot views. Once we were in the room with the door closed, it didn't make any difference! I don't remember any extra noise coming from either the pool area or the parking lots, either. We just love the place, so enjoy yourselves!:)

I havent been to the Halloween thingy yet but I am working on it for this year. Definitely go dressed up! Should make for cool pics. Definitely make sure you get a map and a listing of the night's events. I have been to the Christmas thing. Sort of along the same lines and I love it!! Have an awesome time!!!

Hi There, Im typing from the laptop (my fathers) im using the internet in one of the Port Orleans French Quarter, Its real nice and I love the view here by the pool and the laundry room and its much closer to the food court and the bus stop and Im near the boat ramp. The rooms are wonderful, i give it a 10 and the food court has alot of good theming and the hotels are like the new orleans houses down the street or somthing, I like this resort, youll like it there! and they have some kiddies pool, its a little loud near the big pools, but im sure you'll be ok with em in the lil kiddie pool its not that close to the big one.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

Our first trip to PO had a pool view room - didn't notice the noise as we were out most times.
Second trip to PO had a room in the block near the river, nice and peaceful.

No complaints from either location - just enjoy your stay.
