PORS or Coronado Springs?

I can't decide!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!

I wanna stay at Coronado because of my recent obsession with the Three Caballeros. Then my mom began talking about how nice PORS was now and how cool the Royal Rooms are. She really wants to stay there, but she really doesn't mind where we stay. I had a bad experience when I was little staying at PORS. Our room was far away from everything and it was pouring down rain. We ran in the rain to our room and when we finally got there, a roach came out of my shoe.

I haven't stayed at Coronado Springs since I was a baby, and I don't remember it. Is it worth it. How much Three Caballeros stuff are there?

What do you think?

I'd recommend CSR in a heartbeat! Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price. The resort now offers business club level rooms now with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds and the rooms are gorgeous. The rooms also have a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room instead of a privacy curtain like the other mods (can be good for little ones napping in a pack n play).

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

I'm all about PORS! Just stayed in one of the Royal Rooms in November and they're great! The theming is fantastic, really has that special Disney touch (not to mention the headboards have the fun LED fireworks!). The beds are very comfortable, and the armoire is great for extra storage and putting the suitcases out of sight.

PORS has beautiful grounds (especially at night), a great food court and restaurant, and the bonus of the FQ pool only a quick walk away (if you're in the Royal Rooms that is, otherwise it might be too far if you are in the back of Bayou).

I loved the option of taking the water taxi to DTD, it was really nice to not always take the bus.

We love CSR; it is our first choice when we stay at a moderate. We've stayed in both sections of PORS and prefer the Bayou over the Mansions, so Royal Rooms wouldn't impress us much. We didn't care for the Mansions because of their location...it affected everything.

We loved our Royal Room, but I hated where the bus dropped us off at night. As a single mom with my daughter who at that point was passed out, I just didn't feel safe traipsing all over the resort. However, I just started driving at night and solved that problem. We would def. stay at PORS again.

I have stayed at both and love both!!! POR is pretty awesome and the Royal Rooms are stunning. I am staying in one again at the end of this year and did two years ago for my birthday trip. CSR is also pretty awesome and these are my two favorite resorts in the Moderate level. Both have the Queen sized beds, both have great pool areas, although I think CSR has a slight edge there. The three Caballeros them is seen at theCSR resort but only touches here and there. The Princess Tiana/ Deep South theme is much more apparent at POR in all of the rooms. CSR is just very chic and doesnt really have a character theme going on in the rooms. Be sure to take a look at the CSR website From Buzz 2001, that will give you the best information and pictures of the resort. Also what month are you going in? CSR is themed to Southwestern US/ Mexico so it is a warmer resort, POR Has all of the trees and shaded areas making it feel a bit cooler so that might be a factor for you. You will have a great time whichever one you decide!! Marie

Hi Ally, Yes Ma'am, be sure to check out Cafe Rix for pizza hamburgers & Stuff like that. They arent in the food court at all, but are right next door in the quick serve location. As far as going in October, the weather is still pretty moderate so you can really go either way comfortably. Marie

I've stayed in both and prefer POR, like their dining and lounge at better at POR. Also there are several direct bridges paths to main building over CS long hikes from the farther back areas. Yet if you have small children CS has one of the best playgrounds on property.
