POR Fridge

I know everyone has said there are fridge's in the rooms at POR. When I did online check in it had a few requests you could add. It already had that we requested a pack n play and ground floor. It also had you could request a fridge (at additional cost due at check in) and a trudle bed. Since we had requested Alligator Bayou I requested the trundle bed to maybe give us more of a chance. I also need the ground floor since I'll have a scooter and there aren't any elevators. But it says there is a cost for the fridge???

All of the rooms at POR have refrigerators. I believe the online check-in will bring up the "refrigerator" option for any resort. When I did the online check-in for the Wilderness Lodge last week it also brought it up and the Lodge also has refrigerators in every room.

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure. When we originally booked at AS-Sports they said there wouldn't be any charge for a fridge for medical reasons so wanted to make sure we weren't going to get charged at POR.

 What there are no elevators. I just book a BB on our last trip and had to "upgrade" to POR because my baby will be over 3 next year and arent allowed to stay in all stars any more . I think I would still need my stroller for him next year. So after lugging (sp) the stroller all day in the parks and up and bus I have to carry it up a bunch of stairs

Not sure where you are getting your info but Alligator Bayue rooms all have fridges and trundle beds in them. And they have elevators

I requested AB so thinking to get a better chance staying in those rooms, I also requested the trundle bed since only AB rooms have then.

The MB rooms have elevators, but not AB. According to several people here and the cm's I spoke with anyway.

Could be wrong, but that's what I was told. Would love it if they all had elevators. Would make it so much easier with a scooter and stroller.

If you want to stay at POR and want a room with an elevator and you don't care about where you're staying, try requesting Magnolia Bend or a ground floor room at Alligator Bayou. We wanted AB, so we requested ground floor. MB rooms don't look too special to me and like every other hotel room I've stayed in. Hope this helps! I understand your frustrations. Our ds is 2 and will be in his stroller, but since I'll have a scooter, no way can I bring that upstairs. And honestly didn't think about the stroller....glad you mentioned it!

Why can't you stay in AS anymore? I understand he's 3, but why would that matter?

AS only allow 4 to a room (and babies under 3) If your child is over 3 they are considered a person (shocking I know ) so it make us offically 5. They only resort that can have 5 ppl in a room are POR AB (only place with a trundle bed)or AS Suites which is about 800-1000 dollars more than POR. I have been going to AS for the last 8 years and Im very comfortable there but I cant see a reason to spend over 4000 dollars to stay there. Im sure POR is very nice and probably way better then AS, and I hope I will love it next year.
So does the AB have elevators or not

To clarify...

All rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort do have dorm-sized refrigerators and 4 cup coffee makers. These are standard amenities at no extra cost.

The two story Alligator Bayou Section buildings do not have elevators. The three story Magnolia Bend Section (mansions) do have elevators. You may request one section over another, but remember it is only a request.

Most (but not all) Alligator Bayou rooms have trundle beds. A limited number of Magnolia Bend rooms also feature trundle beds. If you have a party of 5 guests (age 3+) you will be assigned room with a trundle. If your party consist of 4 or less, a trundle bed is only a request. Remember trundle beds are only recommended for Guests ages 3 through 9, less then 150 lbs and under 5 feet in height.

Enjoy your stay with us! :sohappy:
