We all know that Disney is a much more popular franchise then anything else. It overrules everything. But with all the current deaths do you think Disney will start to lose some of its popularity, have no effect, or maybe even strengthen it's popularity?

It will lose some, but I believe these people will also stay away from all parks in order to feel their children are safe.

people will still come but avoid the death defying rides
There has been no ride which is at fault for the death of any Disney guest in the WDW Resort. (Recently, at least... I may have to check my history...)

I dont think it will have any real effect on the parks. People will still go and some will opt not to let their kids do some of the more intence rides, but they will still go to the parks. I think most people can see that the rides at disney have yet to be proven at fault.

No effect. Would you cancel your vacation to WDW just because you hear about an accident there? I wouldn't.

All of the deaths? Do you stop driving when you hear of a bad accident on an interstate highway? ALL OF THE DEATHS--that cracks me up.

I was in WDW in the early 90's and stayed at CBR. During our stay there was a robbery attempt at the security gate/customs house. (What exactly these people were trying to get still stumps me but I digress..) It happened during the night. I found out about it by watching the news the next morning. Having said that, I have never felt anything but safe in Disney. WDW is such an escape for me and my family. It's not a false sense of security either. The rides are top notch and at the height of what is considered safe. I am in good hands-whether it be on the attractions, in my resort, or walking the parks-of that I am sure.

No effect on attendance whatsoever...

How many millions of people have ridden those rides over the years?

The chance that you will be injured, (much less die) on these rides is fractions of a percentage.

Maybe some overprotective parents won't let their kids ride Mission: Space or Rock N' Roller Coaster...but that's about it.

No offense to the families of the recent events in WDW.
