I'm planning on popping the question at California Grill, and need helpful hints on what to do while there.. I've got an ADR for 7:40 Fireworks are at 8, so we're cutting it close to that time. I'm thinking of getting some flowers and a romantic gift basket for DF (yes.. already engaged, just asking the question the right way. hehe), and something for DD8 as well.

Any suggestions would be greatlly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

You're not going to stop in between bites of a turkey leg in Frontierland and say...

"So....how 'bout it?"

That should be fun as you have it planned. Good Luck!!!!:sohappy:

Awww, How sweet! Do it during Wishes. The music will be playing. That would be tops! Who could resist? You'll have plenty of time. We ate there in June for my birthday. They give you ample time between courses! To start, it will take you 20 min. to decide what you are going to eat! Be sure to get the grilled asparagus and the caramel-banana buzz:slurp: . I think the menu changes seasonally! Bon appetite and congrats!:sohappy:

congratulations!
Popping the question in DW first of all is a wonderful idea. I got engadged in front of the castle, during Fantasy in the Sky....anyone remember that show?
Anyways it was incredible! My family had a cake made at the hotel to congratulate us, and they gave it to us for free! Mickey & Minnie were on top holding hands..I remember it like yesterday. Congratulations again!

Congratulations!! We just ate at the CG last week, and it was terriffic. The best meal and service we had at disney! When are you going?? When we were there the fireworks were at 10 pm not 8. You'll probably be done with dinner when the fireworks start, they don't rush you at all which is nice. You can allways go back to the restaurant later if youe done before the fireworks start.
Good luck!!

Yay!

Just to let everyone know, it went off perfectly.. Well, a little rocky at first because they couldn't find the white chocolate Tink that I ordered for the 8 year old at first, but they got it.. Anyways, Our ressie was supposed to be for 6:10, and got there a few mins early, but it was abuot 6:30 by the time we got seated (Due to the prob w/ tink), After Appetizers and Entrees and before dessert our waitress brought out the wine caddy w/ two mickey glasses w/ a ring in one of 'em.. Proposed just before fireworks.. Was awesome!

Congrats! Sounds like it was the perfect romantic event that you had hoped for... even with the problems with the Tink! Glad it was such a special occasion for you. Good luck!
