ANy one know which are the closet regular princed building (non-perferred). I have two small kids and don't want to walk a far distance to the main building and bus stops. I leave on SDUnday and i want to make sure that i know which building to request. I have already called the hotel and ask them to put a request in but they say they can't ensure that i would get it.
thanks

I just stayed there and asked nicely for the same thing, they put me in the absolute farthest room from everything. Be careful and make sure you know what you want to ask for, if you walk straight through the lobby and out by the pool there is a large map. I suggest walking through and getting an idea of what you want before check in. We went drove to the first room in the
90's section and went back to change. They put us in 70's all the way in the back. Still pretty far from everything. The elevators are in the middle of the very large buildings and that makes most rooms in my opinion pretty far from lobby/bus. Have fun, my kids loved this resort.

thats what i am afraid of. We stayed at CBR twice and had the same issue of being on the complete opposite side of the resort from the food court

looking at that map though, unless they've changed parking in the last few months, the parking diagrams are wrong. What they have listed as the 70's parking is actually the 90's parking, what's listed as 90's is actually 80's, and what's listed as 80's is actually 90's. It least it was in January. I don't know about the other side.

50's wasnt bad

it is not as far as 90's end. spending the extra money on a room with a pool view is better, my last trip i didnt spring for it and had a view of the 50's parking lot and a little court yard that usually housed the maintenance & cleaning peoples carts and such.:hammer:

hoping to avoid paying the 12 dollars a day cause there are four rooms by 5 nights it starts to get alittle pricey( i know not much in the grand scheme but it takes awway from the spending money) but if it is to far then we will have to spend the difference.

We Stayed in the 50's building, Building A, and I would pick that one again. Close to everything and it gave us access to the Buses very quickly in the morning. Maybe we got lucky, I thought it would have been a prefered room and building, but it was not at least on my bill.

Have bunches of fun:wave:

Last year we stayed in the 70's an loved it we were far from the elevator but right near a staircase. I know that now to 70's is considered a preferred room. Unless you have small children I don't see a need to spend the extra money to be close to the lobby. As plenty of other people will tell you, if you cut through the parking lot from 80's and 90's to get to the lobby it's a shorter walk than some rooms in the preferred areas. Also the hippity dippity pool can get crowded. The pool at the 80's and 90's seemed virtually empty when we were there.

Either 50s Building A or 70s Building B. Depending on where in those buildings you get, you're even closer to the lobby/busses/food than the preferred buildings. Enjoy POP! It's one of my favorites!

I stayed in the 70's building when I was there and it wasn't too bad. Here's a map of the resort so you can see for yourself where everything is.

I'm thinking about requesting a room in 70's for our upcoming trip. Which pool is closer? On the map, the hippy pool and the computer pool each look like they're the same distance away. I like the 90's theming better so I'd like to swim in the computer pool. Is it a hike from 70's?
