Ok on virgin holidays i found out that Disney's pop century is quite abit cheaper then all stars.. I have been to all stars twice before and i liked it alot.. But is pop century just as good? Does it have all the same facilities and where abouts in the disney area is it located?

Pop Century is the best of the value resorts in my opinion. It's located in the Animal Kingdom resort area. It's basically the same set up and features the same facilities as the All Stars. The food court is much nicer than the other value resorts. Pop also has its own bus line, unlike the All Stars. If you enjoyed staying at the All stars before you will definitely enjoy Pop century just as much. If you have any specific questions just let me know!

Pretty much the same as All Star, just different theming. Pretty grounds, if you ignore the unfinished half on the other side of Hourglass Lake.

Transportation and location are better at Pop, IMHO. All Stars all share the same bus, and Pop has it's own. Pop is located behind MGM (but there's no shortcut) and right down the street from DTD West Side (where Cirque and Disney Quest are located). It's not walking distance, though.

I prefer Pop because of the reasons others mentioned...it's a little newer, I like the food court more, and it has its own bus line.

2 more weeks for me!!!

What sold me on Pop is the bus situation, as already mentioned here. When I learned about that, I booked Pop and it's the only place I've ever stayed at on-property. I'm perfectly content with Pop and will be headed back there in June. Can't wait! :sohappy:

They are basically the same. The rooms are the same. Like others, I liked Pop better. I did like the food court better at Pop and the buses worked out perfect for us. It's more centrally located than All Stars. Pop is listed (I believe) as an AK resort but it's much closer to EPCOT and MGM than to AK. It's next door to Carribean Beach. You will not be disappointed.

I remember being confused on my first visit because I had read that it was an AK resort, but I could see Spaceship Earth from the balcony outside my room. Oh well.

Its the same as the all stars. We have stayed at all of the values once and will go back to Pop in April. There isn't much different other than the theme and the bus service is for Pop only. The gift shop there is better than the other values.

Pop Century is not located in the Animal Kingdom area (that's where All Stars resorts are) Pop Century is located more towards EPCOT and the Wide World of Sports complex. I have stayed at Pop three times and All Star Movies once. It all depends where your room is. If you want quite, don't get on on the firts floor in a corner room or ANYTHIING by the pool.

Do you get the extra magic hours? I still don't really understand what they are.. Is the park open for longer or you can go in before the park normally opens?
Whats the age range of the children at pc? Is there many 15/16 year olds? Because me and my friend are gonna want to make friends!
How busy is it around the middle of June time?

Yes, you get the EMH's.

EMH's are where a park is either open an hour eary or closes up to 3 hours late. Different parks have different EMH days duing the week. You can check on www.disneyworld.com.

For example, Epcot usually has their evening EMH's on Friday nights. They stay open later. Monday morning is usually AK's morning EMH's (I believe). That means it will open at 8am for resort guests.
You will need to show your room key. Even for any children in your group.

To Clarify...

Disney's Pop Century - Classic Years Resort is located in the Wide World Of Sports Resort Area. It is just south of Epcot and Disney's Caribbean Resort, and just north of the WWofS Complex. All resort and room amenities are the same at all 4 Disney Value Resorts.

Rack Rates at the Pop Century are exactly the same as at the three All Star Resorts however due to the fact that the three All Star Resorts are located just south of the Orange County line, their taxes are 0.5% higher per night then all other Disney Resorts.

Disney's All Star - Sports, Music, Movies =
Tax: 6% Florida State Sales Tax, 6% Osceola County Accommodation Tax, 1% Osceola County Surtax = 13% total

Disney's Pop Century and all other Disney Resorts =
Tax: 6% Florida State Sales Tax, 6% Orange County Accommodation Tax, 0.5% Orange County Surtax = 12.5% total
