Pop century v All star resorts

We just returned Saturday from a week at Pop, all things concidered our visit went Great, We had no issues at all with Disney its resort or its employees. However this will be our last stay at a value resort. We stayed a week at Riverside last year and wanted to do a comparison amongst some resorts. No comparison, its amazing what just a few extra hundred dollars will do for your experiance! I spent about an hour in "Concoctions" speaking with a CM and was amazed at how honest and impression I got from them on the Value resorts! If you are limited on money Pop is the way to go but REALLY, spend a little extra and go "Moderate" The staff at POP were great but MY GOODNESS some of the "guests" I have 7 children ranging from 6-18, I found myself non stop asking my DW where these ppl lived there lives and who raised these children? One of the points made by the CM was how bad staff is treated by guests at the Value level resorts, some of the stories were truelly awefull. Not that if they were treated like that at a deluxe would make it better tho, but just at that level of stay one expects more out of a Deluxe so it is little more understood.
So that being said we finally made the decision to buy into the New Animal Kingdom Villas. Received our 200 points instantly, back dated year use to June, WOW for what I paid for POP for 7 days We now have 12-14 days a year every year at Animal Kingdom till 2057. We break even in 6.5 stays at POP so was just Crazy to keep that up! And half of those stays are at Concierge level for DW and me. So if you, like SO MANY OF US ON WDWMAGIC ARE, a frequent WDW visitor truelly concider the DVC. My biggest regrett is we didn't do it 2 visits ago! Little off thread but worth concidering.
If you decide on POP the bartender at Concoctions makes a GREAT Strawberry Daqueri
