Pop Century Update...

Hey Everyone.. came back from Disney on Sunday evening but before we went home we took a quick drive by Pop Century. In all honesty it doesn't look any different than it did a few months ago.

Although there's a huge yellow building up towards the front that I imagine will eventually be themed and be the lobby/food court type area. We didn't even take pics cause it looks identical to the ones we took several months back (you can find those pictures on the wdwmagic site)..

Just thought I'd give a quick update, although it looks nowhere near ready to open. A good bunch of the hotel "units" are still unthemed.

at this rate its going to end up like busch gardens tampa's hotel...I actually think it nice idea for theming a hotel...with the diffrent era's..guess others up there someone don't think the same as I

I really want them to finish it because the theming looks so damn cool.

I believe around 9/11 they stopped construction or cut the man-hours down to a minimal amount.

The hours were cut but in the past few months the speed has picked up again. Disney is loosing money every day that PC is not open. The projected opening date is Sping 2003 and I think they will finish on time. I saw a few pictures a week ago and it looked like they were almost finished the first phase.

I drove by there this afternoon before heading home, I have to say IT LOOKS AWFUL, IT looks ALOT like the All Star Resorts, I wouldnt stay there for some reasons if its all the same as the All Stars.
