Pop Century smoking areas

We are staying at POP in Sept, we both are smokers, we have no kids with us. Are there buildings which can accomodate smokers better than others? ie walk right out your door to find a smoking area. I've been told by disney i can request but no guarantees

Two years ago we stayed in the sixties building, first floor, facing hourglass lake. There was a smoking spot with a bench about fifty feet from our door. The smokers who were with us that trip found it very convenient. I would definitely try to get first floor wherever you stay. Much easier to grab a quick smoke that way.

The smoking areas are by the lake. Just be sure to find a trash bin that has the smoking sign as well as the ashtray. All others are off limits.

Steve, thanks for posting this. We are very courteous smokers (I hate to admit we do it at all) but normally at Disney we just bring electronic cigarettes, and still follow the rules as if they were regular cigarettes. Even in some designated smoking areas, we received looks like we were Al Capone's croonies LOL
