Pop Century Reservation

Our next trip is coming up pretty quickly, and we were on the fence of whether or not to stay on Disney property.. We have a new member coming this July(Our souvenir from our early October Food & Wine festival trip!) so we wanted to keep it on the less expensive side.. I have been watching the rates at Pop Century and this morning I found they have a rate of 91.00/night for a prefered room 2/19/06 thru 2/26/06 on travelocity.com's site. The rate for a standard room is 114.00/night. Don't know how long this will be good for but as of right now they still show that rate.. Don't know why a prefered room is cheaper, but I booked it right away.. Saved almost 200.00 over the rate on the disneyworld.com site.. BTW, a prefered room on Disneys site is almost 1000.00 for 7 nights. I paid 700.00.. Just a little FYI.. Can't wait!! My wife is upset she will not be able to try EE if it is open at all during our trip.. Would it be wrong of me to ride it anyways?? :animwink:

I am not sure if you are a member of AAA, but that would be my recommendation. I was quoted $74.00 per night for next week from AAA for Pop Century. I know the rates usually go up after Valentines day, but it would be worth a try. I would definately hurry up with firming those ressies soon.

If you are going for 10 days you might be better off getting an Annual Pass and using the AP discount to book your room (though that is not guaranteed at this point of course.) I have never paid more than $59 for Pop Century, and that was in mid-July.

I just paid $49 a night at Pop Century with my Annual Passholder Discount. That might be something you want to look into. Specially since you're staying for 10 days.

I am a member, but that rate was sold out that week.. My wife is a teacher, so the only time we can go is during winter break unfortunatley.. Last year she took an extra few days off and we left on a tuesday night and got a rate of 55.00/night at Pop for 10 days.. No such luck this year, but 91.00/night is not too bad, considering we don't have to pay for parking..

Also, we already have a 10-day park hopper no exp which we had gotten on our last trip, so that is a bonus because all the ticket prices went up Jan 1st..

We are going for 7 nights this time, and because it is winter break for almost all schools in the Northeast, all the good rates were sold out long ago..(I started checking last July..) I jumped on the deal for 91.00 though.. More than we wanted to spend, but nothing beats staying on property.. Thankyou for the advise!! I will have to book earlier next time...
