I am assuming that they use the same or a similar fridge at POP as they do at the other resorts. With that being said the fridges are rather small. They are your typical portable dorm room size refrigerator. They do have a small freezer section maybe enough room for 2 or 3 20 oz Coke bottles.

Hey!

Fellow diabetic here. The Pop will not charge you for a medical refrigerator. The medical refrigerator was a standard mini-fridge, with a small freezer section. :D:D:D

You can store most insulin vials at room temperature for up to 30 days. It is never a good idea to inject yourself with cold insulin. Refrigeration of insulin is only needed for long term storage.

At the Disney Value Resorts:

Medical Refrigerators - are very small portable coolers that are big enough to hold a full month's worth of insulin, but are not large enough to hold a 2 liter bottle of soda. There is no freezer on a medical sized refirgerator. These units are provided free of charge upon request.

Standard Refrigerators - like Master Yoda stated, are a typical portable dorm room size refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. From personal experience, the refrigerator section can hold items as large as a 1/2 gal of milk or as many as 24 creatively arranged 12oz cans of soda. The freezer can hold up to 2 standard (12 count) boxes of Little Debbie Swiss Roll Cakes. The resort will charge a nominal fee of $10 (plus tax) per night payable directly to the Resort upon check out. (Yes, if anyone is curious, I do admit I have a really big sweet tooth!:slurp: )

Based on operational and supply and demand needs, a Standard Refrigerator may be offered in place of the Medical Refigerator at the discretion of the resort management. This CANNOT be requested unless the Guest is willing to pay the nightly fee.

Microwaves are not available nor allowed in any standard or preferred rooms at any of the Value Resorts. Microwaves are included in the Family Suites at Disney's All Star Music Resort. Microwaves are also available for free use at each resort's Food Court during normal operating hours.

Cost of refrigerator at Pop

I just did a search and found this thread. I called today to add the fridge to our room at Pop Century for our stay in September. I thought the cost was $10 but the rep said they had went up to $15 a day. Anyone have any information on this? Should I call back and ask again?

As always, you are a fount of knowledge.

But this just cracked me up. Perhaps it's still early in the morning, or I'm going to have one of those other-worldly days.
