Pop Century or CBR

I presently have a reservation for CBR for Thanksgiving weekend. I have CBR for 40% off as a military special. Shades of Green was not available during this period. I am a little concerned about the reviews of CBR. The Port Orleans (FQ and River) and Coronado were sold out for the 40% off rooms. Any opinions from anyone that has stayed at both? I can get Pop Century for 40% also and have heard it is the best value resort. My kids are 15 and 13 if that matters.

Thanks, Bob

Now, I havent stayed at CBR in quite a long time. Just to warn you. But from comparing CBR to Pop Century, I would stay at CBR. And its not even close. I think your kids will enjoy CBR more. I stayed there when I was around that age and had a great time

I would take the CBR over Pop.

I've not stayed at either but I would pick CBR over POP. I don't like how small the rooms feel at the values.

Have you looked into a deluxe with that rate? We were able to book WL for around $300 more than CBR's Pirate room for Oct. We have a woods view bunk room reserved so a standard view room would be cheaper. With the amount you save on the tickets maybe you could afford a deluxe. That's the only reason we can.

I've stayed at both and would pick pop over CBR when i went the room service was horrible, busses took forever, and i was in an unfurbished room.

At pop, the rooms are a tad smaller but my parents me and my sister(ages 17 and 13) fit comfortable and enjoy the atmosphere better at pop.

2 of my favorites

i LOVE the POP... for a trip on a tight budget it can't be beat.... in my opinion its food court is the best on property.....

SOOOOOO with that said my favorite place to stay.... yes VERY FAVORITE it the Caribbean Beach Resort.... better than even the Poly.

if you got it that cheap then stay at the CBR.... there is a lot for your kids ages to do, a lot of water things and the arcade and of course the parks. and the remodled pool is awesome and for you guys the cabana refreshments are very good, although i have to say here that at 1 time each resort's refreshments were different and now all the resorts have the same drinks available.

Personally, I don't like the themeing of the CBR at all (even more now that they redid the rooms in Nemo and Pirate themes--just not appealing to two 50+ adults) and I think the pool is aimed at younger kids. But, I also don't care for the value resorts because I find them too crowded and too loud from the one time we stayed. If you are only using the resort to sleep and shower, then go with the value; if you plan on using the pools (quiet and main pool and hot tub) then go with the CBR.

CBR is far too sprawling for me. I prefer the ease and convenience of Pop (but I'm a huge Pop fan).

However, the rooms are larger at CBR than they are at Pop.
