POP building numbers

Looking at the resort map for Pop Century I have a question. I noticed that the room numbers are 4 digits. Is the first number of the room considered the "building number?". So room 7238 is in building seven?

Just trying to figure out how to request a specfic building on my reservation.

We stayed at POP in August '08. We were in room 2238. It was in one of the "Fifties" buildings. This was not a preferred room but we were pretty close to Classic Hall (lobby/busses/food court..etc)
If you'd like to be close to Classic Hall request a preferred room...costs a little more and probably NOT worth it. The resort is not that big.
Rooms in the 80's and 90's Buildings seem to be farthest away from Classic Hall. Rooms 0101-0472 in the 70's, 5101-5472 in the 60's, & 1101-1472 in the 50's buildings look closest to Classic Hall. Each "decade" has several buildings...again I think these rooms are closest to Classic Hall.
Hope this helps...Have a great trip:)

Room 7238 is in the "90's" buildings/section. This is pretty far from the busses & foodcourt....however close to one of the pools...Computer Pool.
If you have kids with you you may want to ask for rooms #5101-5472 in the "60's" buildings close to the Hippy Dippy Pool, and close to the busses & foodcourt.
Hope this helps...have a great trip:)

You are correct. The first number is the building number, the second number is the floor, and the last number is the actual room number for that floor. So, room 7238 is the 38th room on the 2nd floor of building 7.

The building numbers go in a counter clockwise circle around the resort as well. Building one is the 50's building closest to Classic Hall. The circle continues all the way around to building 10 (or 0 if you are looking at room numbers) which is the 70's building closest to Classic Hall.

Thanks for the info. It helps alot. I want to be close to the parking lot and somewhat close to the lobby. I will have a car, I am going to give the buses a rest this trip.

So, heading to the Pop for the first time in Sept. We did not request a preferred room, as I could not justify the extra cost since we are never really at the resort. I did however request a room in the 70's or 50's buildings. Was this smart? In your opinion, what area of the 2 is closest to classic hall? Appreciate your help!

Well, Buildings 1 and 3 in the 50's section are about the same distance from Classic Hall as Buildings 6 and 10, which are the 70's buildings. But there's a third 50's building (Building 2) which would be farther away.

Even though the buildings are the same distance from the Hall itself, the 70's buildings are on the side of Classic Hall with the food court and the bus stops. So the walk is slightly shorter from those.

For my upcoming trip in June, I requested Building 10, 6 or 9. (Bldg 9 is in the 80's section, and is also convenient to the food court and bus stops)

Thanks for your help Rob!!! When making my ressies, I did request the 50's or 70's, I think I am going to call and request build #1, 3, 6 or 10 to be on the safe side. Again I appreciate your help. Enjoy your trip to the World!!!!
