Poor Ariel at Fantasmic

[RSD Part Deux]

Just something funny I spotted at the Fantasmic Show...

At the end just prior to the firework finale, the ship comes out with all the characters. Ariel is one of them. As the boat goes around the corner almost out of view, all the characters run off the boat and take shelter in the mountain from the firework debris...except Ariel. She cant run. They other characters through a blanket on her and abandon her. Looked kind of funny...made me laugh!

i remember when the boats were making their circle and they ended up stopping, leaving (i think) Ariel and Belle's boats in direct line of the water spray and fireworks kickback. my fiance noticed that Eric and Beast made an effort to cover the ladies... that was nice of them

I'm surprised you can see this on stage. It would be pretty scary if a child saw Ariel get covered in a blanket.

The characters do not run off the boat into the mountain. The simply move to the opposite side of the boat to take shelter from the fireworks fallout...which is the reason Ariel is covered. While she is sitting in her spot, the characters are only a couple feet from her.

Ya my friend noticed that, it's his trademark whenever he brings someone to WDW and see Fantasmic for the first time.

My wife and daughter also noticed this on our last trip. I have seen Fantasmic enough times I also look for things off to the side. My fav is watching the princess floats just missing each other in the middle. :goodnevil

One of the princess floats was up against the wall sitting still to make way for the other float to get by. Better that than a collision!! :lol:
