I by no means am the real mad hatter, his way of being able to start off his threads with a great story and his way with words! But after reading his question thread for the day (Resort Food Takeaway) I got to thinking... What is or are your favorite places to eat pool side when at the resorts? Also since they are rarely discussed lets also add in the water parks as well!

My favorite poolside dining spots are:

Cabana Bar & Beach Club (Dolphin)
Hurricane Hanna's (Y&BCR)
Siesta's (CSR)

Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Love the food, love the pool.

Nice shaded area to sit outside the QS venue.

I can recommend the crab cake sandwich from the Grand Floridian Pool Bar, or the Turkey BLT from the Contemporary "Sand Bar."

That's funny that you mentioned the Crab cake sandwich! I was wondering if it was good or not and was actually going to ask in my first post if anyone had tried it before. So thanks! ;)

As I remember from perusing the menu online, the food menu for POFQ's Mardi Grogs seemed rather limited.

I saw a really detailed drink menu for Scat Cat's Club recently, and can't remember where - anyone know? I think it was a pdf of the whole menu.

Only time I've ordered food pool side was at AKL and GF; however, I've ordered alcohol at everyone I've stayed at!!!!!
HA! I was thinking what to answer, and realized the only thing I've ever had at the pool were drinks!!! We are never there for a whole free day to eat!

When we used to stay at the Caribbean I enjoyed having breakfast by the pool or fountain. Sometimes we did pizza at night down there too, the pizza wasn't the best but the atmosphere was nice.

Pork nachos and a cheeseburger with fries, from Captain Cook's, near the quiet pool at the Poly. (of course a couple frozen adult beverages from the Barefoot Bar are involved too!!)

Well should you ever stay at the Boardwalk consider heading over to the Boardwalk Pizza window and pick up a slice or a whole pie! I know others have said it isn't the best but I think that the quality has changed over the years because the last time I was there (Sept. 19th - 27th) we had a great slice with mushrooms and spinach! Though I haven't had a bad pizza there ever so maybe I'm alone in my liking of Boardwalk Pizza.

Good to know, this would work staying at Y & B or Swan and Dolphin too. I like the Boardwalk area a lot.

I also wanted to add the Trout Pass Pool bar since it has an ok view of Bay Lake and I enjoy watching the geyser. The menu is limited but you can always get something from Roaring Forks and bring it down to the tables on the side of the bar.
