Pools open late

What time do the pools at the resorts typically close? I seem to recall being at the pool at midnight a number of times. If we return from the park at 10:30 will it be worth it?

Pools at all Resorts now close at 11pm and reopen at 7am. They made the across the board change last year some time I believe. They used to vary from resort to resort but now they share the same hours.

Although the quiet pools are usually still ungated but there usually times posted as to when swimming wouldn't be allowed. But as quiet pools never have life guards you may find them open longer than the main pool which has a fence and a guard.

I know when I stayed at PoP last month it said 11 but ppl were swimming past that. Not sure how strict they are with the non gated pools but I know the gated ones are pretty strict

A quiet pool can be used at any time, because they are typically not gated. Just be quiet and respectful of the rooms nearest the pool. Nothing like a night swim under the stars on vacation!

This is true is the summer but the hours vary. In January, the pool at DAK closed at 8 pm which I thought was absurd. We couldn't use the hot tub at night after the fireworks as in years past. Grrrr.

That was supposed to be the hours from now on all year but I know it says they do vary. When we were there in December and October it was still 11pm. But of course that was not January like when you went.

At Shades both the mickey head-shaped Mill Pond pool and the second pool near the Palm and Magnolia golf pro shop are open from 10am-10pm. Both pools are fenced with gated entry. Both pools are locked overnight.

It varies:
