Pool Towels???

I think they put extra towels in the room for the pool. But, that could vary per resort.

This is actually true, well partially true. Now we haven't stayed at every DVC resort, but we have checked out the pools everywhere but Beach Club. There are racks with pool towels at each pool at each resort, EXCEPT Vero Beach (don't know about Hilton Head). Pool towels are placed in each villa equal to the number of guests that that specific villa can accommodate.

Whoa, easy. I certainly did not pounce on anyone, I was just stating some information. I thought you had some new information that I did not know and was simply asking which resorts. I try to state only facts I know to help others and if I state an opinion I make it clear that is in fact an opinion. In the end I did not want the original thread poster to expect that there are towels in the room for the pool when in fact there was not.

If you take offense to that, then I am sorry.
You were very adamant that I was wrong and stated so regarding OKW, etc., even though I stated it could have been generous mousekeeping. The fact that I stated there was actually a small sign at Vero should have been the club that I wasn't making facts up.

World fanatic was outright rude and his message was uncalled for. At any rate, if the point was to get rid of the people that others have deemed unfit to respond on this board, you have succeeded. I am leaving the boards because quite frankly the rudeness and arrogance of some of the posters has totally changed the tone of the boards.

Monitors, if you actually read this, you might take note that your boards are becoming extremely negative, condescending and rude. If that is the tone you want it to have-congratulations.

Trotsky, disney girl 76 (?) (the nanny :)) and DVCMember (with the camper, lake house, boat, etc.), I will miss you. Take care.

As Funfy pointed out Vero has a differant policy which is also in effect @ HHI. Below is copied from DVCnews.com since I could find no info on the DVC Member website.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort Pool Towels
Disney's Vero Beach Resort has upgraded its pool towels with larger, plusher versions stocked in Vacation Homes. Each Vacation Home is equipped with the appropriate number of pool towels based on that Vacation Home's occupancy. Pool towels will not be available at poolside or the beach, except on a one-for-one exchange basis. Members and Guests may also exchange used pool towels for clean replacements by contacting Housekeeping for delivery to their Vacation Home, or during regularly scheduled housekeeping services.

No, I wasn't being adamant either. I did not put any exclamation points or exaggerate any comments I just simply stated a fact. I also said that I was not sure about Vero and now I thank you for bringing it up. Since you posted about the VB change I went and found out about the policy change which I posted in the above post.

As a DVC member for many many years I am bothered that mousekeeping would be generous and give up towels for no charge. This is simply not supposed to happen. The reason for this policy is to keep our maintenance fees reasonable. We dropped valet parking a few years ago to help defer some of the maintenance fee increases.
