Sorry for the bump as I know this is a contentious topic, but this is a very quick question and it doesn't need its own thread.

Can "regular" DAKL guests use the pool at Kidani Village? I assume so, but wanted to confirm it's not a "DVC-only pool".

Yes. If you are staying at a resort, you can use the pool no matter how you paid for the room.

I read the post as can a guest staying at Jambo use the pool at Kidani? So can a guest paying cash at AKL Jambo use the pool at Kidani?

I think so, but I am not 100% on that.

When the Polynesian pool reopens it will not allow DVC pool hopping. Both Polynesian pools will be gated when completed and you will need key access.

I thought I had read somewhere that Disney is in the process of gating all of the pools, and that you will eventually need a MB to get into any of them.

As far as the OP's question that has been answered (no, you cannot do that), I would ask, why anyone would ever want to pool hop in the first place?? Wear your swimsuit either on a bus or in a car just to go to a pool at a different resort?? I never have understood why anyone would ever even want to do such a thing, when most of the deluxe pools are pretty good in their own right. Of course, that's just us. I guess different strokes for different folks.
