Poncho Suggestions Needed

Hello all! I keep forgetting to research ponchos before my trips and end up buying the WDW ones. I "kick myself" every time it starts raining. I don't mind the cost of the WDW ones but they are kind of flimsy and short.

Does anyone have any suggested ponchos they use? Something light for those summer temps but quality of enough to keep re-using.

Thanks for any suggestions you have!!!

We liked the breathable Frog Togg brands. We (family of 8, kids 18-6), much prefer rain jackets to keep try than a poncho. We also all pack a baseball hat to wear to keep the rain off our faces.
I fold up all of the jacket with baseball hats in a bag in a large bag and stuff at bottom of our backpack :)

First why not just pack the old Disney ones so you don't have to keep buying new lol.
I do like Disney's for the fact that they are not throw away material. And they are nice and airy.
However the past 4 trips I've used clear ones from Amazon that have arms and elastic at the cuff. They also have a draw string hood which keeps it on my better than Disney's.
They are also down to past my knee so especially in the summer they protect all of my clothes except socks/shoes.
They also are not the extremely flimsy loud plastic that can only be described as the trash bags Disney uses.

I usually make sure to carry 2 with me at all times.

I'll try to find a link.
Amazon product ASIN B07FMF5SPC
Well I put a link but its not showing.
The brand is called COOY on Amazon.

I second this. I just bought similar ponchos off of Amazon to wear and throw away. Elastic wrists and hood tie.

I actually bought my Ponchos from Weis grocery store here in PA. I bought different colors for each, went to Hobby Lobby and bought Scrapbook materials to personalize each! They were heavy gauge plastic, but not cumbersome

Does anyone have a good poncho for a 5year old? I love that the adult ones suggested have the elastic and draw string! They don’t seem to make a kid version that I can find.

Pretty sure the brand I mentioned does.
COOY. You may have to click on a couple of the ones that say adult and "6 pack for kids" is an option you can select once in the listing.

I am off the poncho train and carry a raincoat, a thin Disney raincoat with a hood. It folds up to very close the size of a poncho.

We used to use Disney ponchos. They are thick and when wearing them you feel like you are in a terrarium. Very steamy if it's hot and raining.

When checking out of the Hard Rock, moving to WDW, one year I bought a couple cheap, thinner ponchos for like a dollar or 2 in the HRH gift shop. These were thinner than WDW ponchos. These worked just as well and I didn't get hot and steamy while wearing them. They may not last as long as a Disney poncho, but you can buy a few of them for the same price as a Dis poncho.

Another vote for frogg toggs. We each have a different color (here we are modeling some of them below, LOL) so we know whose is whose, they dry really fast, they have toggles you can use to tighten the hood, and they all fold into a little pouch, or into their own pocket.

We used to just use the disposable Dollar Store ones, which were fine for use in a slight drizzle or on Kali River Rapids, but for windy, driving, hurricane season-type rain, it's great to have something more substantial.
