Polynesian resort

We are scheduled to stay on the concierge level of the Poly the first week of February. We are excited about the convenience of the monorail. The only other place we have stayed on property is AKL concierge. I have heard many comments about the Poly and wondered if anyone out there liked it. I have been considering staying 2 nights at another hotel like Boardwalk or Beach Club if I can still get in. I just don't know much about the Disney resorts but this will be our last trip for a long time so I would appreciate any input you guys have. I want this to be a special trip. (Hopefully I will be though physical therapy and get to go, I crushed my ankle 3 weeks ago)

The last time I stayed at the Poly was in 1976 - and I actually remember a lot about the place then, even though I was only 6.

I do remember getting to swim in the lake, all the greenery, and being able to walk right out of our room right down to the beach through the patio.

I actually just booked Poly concierge for the 2nd week of November '03! :sohappy:

No more lake swimming now, but the resort is still great.
